Sr. Manager, Product Growth Strategy (Starlink)

Bastrop, TX

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

SR. MANAGER, PRODUCT GROWTH STRATEGY (STARLINK)

Starlink is scaling consumer broadband worldwide. As Sr. Manager, Product Growth Strategy, you will lead the Starlink product growth team that takes service programs and offering changes to market, and you will be accountable for their growth impact.

The team owns how we deploy programs such as plan and offer mechanics, referral programs, and market-specific value proposition work. You plan and product selection experiences and service programs work for markets, in partnership with global go-to-market teams. You organize how we ship changes to the product offering, new features, and new functionality across the service suite: launch coordination, impact planning, and prioritization.

Direction comes from Consumer Growth leadership, the broader growth team, and go-to-market. This is not an order-taking seat. The team is expected to bring ideas, justify them, vet them, test them, and take them to market. The work is high impact and closely reviewed. You need to be strong enough to stand behind the choices the team makes, read back in-market performance, and iterate or stop.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the product growth team: set the bar, assign ownership, and hold the team to launch quality, timeline, and growth impact
  • Own how service programs and offering changes go to market (multi-family, community access, cash referral, market-specific value propositions, and similar programs), including what is in the offer, where it launches, and what GTM needs in each market
  • Organize deployment of product offering changes, new features, and new functionality across the service suite: roadmap, sequencing, launch coordination, and readiness with product, engineering, marketing, and in-market GTM
  • Partner with global go-to-market teams so online experiences and service programs actually work in market (positioning, eligibility, in-store activation, onboarding, ops handoff, and local constraints)
  • Drive impact planning and prioritization: size the growth case, sequence work against Consumer Growth goals, and kill or re-scope what will not move the number
  • Be accountable for program and offering growth impact: get work executed, read back performance after launch, and use that feedback to iterate, scale, or stop
  • Bring a point of view. Source ideas, justify them with data and GTM input, vet feasibility, run tests, and take winners to market. Do not wait to be assigned a list
  • Represent product growth in Consumer Growth and GTM forums: defend the plan, surface tradeoffs early, and keep US and in-market teams aligned through launch

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of experience in product, growth, go-to-market, consumer programs, or a related role in a technical or consumer business
  • 3+ years of direct people leadership

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years in product growth, consumer subscription, telecommunications, broadband, or marketplace businesses
  • 5+ years leading a team that shipped programs or product changes into market
  • Demonstrated ownership of launch coordination across product, engineering, marketing, and in-country GTM
  • Experience taking service plans, promotions, or packaging changes live, then reading impact and iterating or killing
  • Experience making digital purchase and onboarding experiences work across multiple countries or languages
  • Comfort with market-specific value proposition work (including high-context markets such as Japan)
  • Strong analytical chops: sizing, prioritization, experiment design, and post-launch readouts (Excel required; SQL or BI tools preferred)
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-scrutiny environment where you are expected to have a point of view and stand behind it

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel as needed to support global go-to-market teams
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
