ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct performance and engineering in AWS-based environments.
  • Develop and execute automated performance test scripts using JMeter and Performance Center.
  • Perform load, stress, volume, and endurance testing to evaluate system scalability and reliability.
  • Monitor production systems using New Relic, Splunk, and Amazon CloudWatch to identify and resolve issues.
  • Create dashboards and alerts to proactively detect performance anomalies.
  • Analyze test results, document findings, and generate performance summary reports.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to resolve performance bottlenecks.
  • Log and manage defects in JIRA, coordinate triage meetings, and validate fixes.
  • Provide recommendations for performance improvements and capacity planning.
  • Support production monitoring and operational readiness for enterprise applications.
  • Apply technical knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, system administration, and security best practices.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • 7-9+ years of experience in IT
  • Proven experience in performance engineering and testing.
  • Proficiency with tools like Apache JMeter and Performance Center.
  • Strong understanding performance monitoring, JVM analysis exposure tools like Prometheus etc.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services: EKS, ECS, EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, OpenSearch, ELB etc.
  • Strong working experience with application software like JBOSS EAP, Apache Camel, Quarkus or Spring Boot, understanding of AWS services: EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, OpenSearch, ELB etc.
  • Expertise in monitoring tools: New Relic, Splunk, Amazon CloudWatch.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, and Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes (AWS EKS) and containerized environments.
  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and system security.
  • Experience with performance diagnostics, tuning, and JVM/JBoss EAP on Linux.
  • Working knowledge of Agile development practices.

PREFERED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience with NoSQL databases.
  • Exposure to other cloud platforms like Azure, Google Cloud, or VMware.
  • Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery architectures.
  • Knowledge of application networking, firewalls, and load balancing.
  • Experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent
  • AWS Certifications are preferred
