ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking an experienced Information Technology (IT) Lead to support a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Federal program. This role provides technical leadership over secure, cloud based data and analytics environments used to organize, store, manipulate, and analyze large and complex healthcare datasets in support of CMS research, analytics, and program integrity activities. The ideal candidate brings strong data analytics expertise, deep CMS Federal experience, and hands on knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid claims data, operating within FISMA compliant AWS environments. Experience with modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake) and AI enabled analytics is highly desired.

•   Serve as the IT Lead responsible for technical oversight of secure data and analytics platforms supporting CMS SOW requirements.
•    Lead IT solutions that enable secure ingestion, storage, transformation, and analysis of large scale CMS datasets.
•    Provide expertise in organizing, storing, manipulating, and analyzing large and sophisticated datasets, including CMS claims data.
•    Support and oversee cloud-based analytics environments leveraging AWS services and modern data platforms.
•    Utilize and support enterprise data platforms such as Databricks and/or Snowflake for large scale analytics and data processing.
•    Enable and support data analytics, statistical analysis, and AI/ML driven use cases aligned with CMS research and program needs.
•    Translate research, policy, and analytical requirements into secure, scalable IT and data solutions.
•    Ensure all systems comply with FISMA, CMS security policies, and Federal information security requirements.
•    Support CMS users and stakeholders by enabling advanced analytics environments used for: Medicare and Medicaid payment analysis. Program integrity and claims analysis, Healthcare utilization, cost, and outcomes research
•    Oversee documentation of technical approaches, data handling procedures, and security controls.
•    Support Federal audits, security reviews, and compliance activities

REQUIRED EXPEREINCE:

•    Minimum 5 years of experience in IT roles supporting large, complex data and analytics environments.
•    Demonstrated experience organizing, storing, manipulating, and analyzing large and sophisticated datasets.
•    Strong data analytics skillset, including experience supporting researchers, analysts, or policy teams.
•    Proven CMS Federal experience, preferably supporting analytics or data driven initiatives.
•    CMS Integrated Data Repository (IDR) or similar CMS data environments
•    Experience translating research and analytical needs into IT and data platform solutions.
Cloud, Data Platforms & AI
•    Experience working in AWS cloud environments, supporting secure data and analytics workloads.
•    Hands on experience with modern data platforms, such as: Databricks, Snowflake
•    Experience supporting or enabling AI / machine learning–based analytics, including: Large scale data preparation for AI/ML, Advanced analytics or predictive modeling use cases, AI enabled insights applied to healthcare or claims data
•    Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
•    Must have resided in the United States for at least 3 of the past 5 years
•    Must be able to pass a Federal background investigation

PREFERRED EXPERINCE:

Hands on experience working with Medicare and Medicaid data, including: Medicare Part A, Part B, Part C, and Part D claims data

EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:

•    Direct experience supporting CMS Medicaid and Medicare analytics programs
•    Experience with large scale data integration and linkage across CMS data sources.
•    Experience supporting AI driven analytics in a Federal or healthcare environment.
•    Prior Federal contracting experience.
