ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software components throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and enhance Java/Scala-based REST APIs based on technical designs and business requirements.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and technical teams to identify design gaps and implement functionality improvements.
• Build, configure, and support scalable software solutions using modern development frameworks and tools.
• Create and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and application reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, test, and production environments.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support application deployments, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 

• 5+ years of experience in software development and application support.
• Strong experience with Java and REST API development.
• Experience with JavaScript and modern web application development practices.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful services.
• Knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting complex applications.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience working in AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
• Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Experience supporting CMS, Federal Government, or healthcare systems.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases.
• Experience working within Agile development teams.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
