Surgical Assistant

What You’ll Do
As a Surgical Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in both patient care and clinical support. You’ll work closely with our surgical team and help ensure every patient feels comfortable, supported, and informed throughout their visit. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing surgical areas, instruments, and equipment before each procedure
- Assisting the surgeon during procedures by anticipating needs and providing direct support
- Monitoring and recording patient vitals and ensuring patient safety
- Keeping surgical areas and instruments clean and properly sterilized
- Providing post-operative instructions and support to patients
- Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies as needed
- Supporting general office responsibilities as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned by the surgeon or office manager
As one of the essential members of our office, you will also help to facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a resourceful and compassionate Surgical Assistant who’s excited to make a difference in patients’ lives every single day. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and committed to delivering excellent care and support.
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful in this role:
- 1–2 years of surgical assisting experience (specialty preferred)
- Strong knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and well-organized
- Basic computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certificate from an accredited surgical assistant program (if required by law)
- Active state radiology license (if required by law)

Position Base Pay Range
$20 - $26 USD
