ABOUT THE ROLE

Sphinx is looking to hire a Senior Technical Recruiter to work alongside our Talent and Operations Team and play a key role in driving an exceptional candidate experience. You will be a trusted partner to our leadership and hiring teams, ensuring that Sphinx attracts, engages, and secures top talent. 

This position is focused on the full-cycle Talent Acquisition process, including but not limited to reviewing resumes, screening candidates, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and offer negotiations.

We are looking for someone who is results-driven, adaptable, and passionate about the space industry. You thrive in fast-paced environments, are excited to learn, and ready to make an impact. This role reports directly to the Talent Acquisition Manager.

WHAT YOU’LL BE FOCUSING ON:

  • Recruiting Expert - Partner with Sphinx leadership and hiring teams as a trusted hiring advisor to ensure best practices and continuously improve our hiring approach.
  • Process Driven - Strengthen and optimize structured interview and hiring processes that uphold high hiring standards and efficient timelines. Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks to continuously improve recruiting operations.
  • Relationship Builder - Build strong partnerships across hiring managers, Operations, and candidates to deliver a collaborative, transparent, and positive hiring experience.
  • Organizational Focus - Develop, document, and continuously refine talent acquisition processes that enable Sphinx to scale thoughtfully and efficiently.

YOU MIGHT BE A GOOD FIT IF:

  • 5+ years of experience in full-cycle technical recruiting
  • Proven track record building high-performing engineering teams
  • Track record of sourcing niche talent pools for highly specialized roles in competitive markets
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, organizational rigor, and a relentless commitment to delivering a top-tier candidate experience from first outreach to signed offer
  • Ability to influence and advise hiring teams at all levels, bringing market intelligence and recruiting strategy to the table, not just resumes
  • Have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in collaborative organizations
  • Have the ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in a remote environment and ability to work asynchronously
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving results in a dynamic environment

BONUS POINTS IF YOU:

  • Have experience using Greenhouse, Google Workspace, and Slack
  • Have experience recruiting for cleared positions (e.g., Secret, TS/SCI) within the defense, aerospace, or government contracting industry

LOCATION

This is a remote position that must be based in the continuous United States.

COMPENSATION

This role is between $120,000 - $145,000 base salary.
