We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and process-driven Deal Desk Manager to play a pivotal role in supporting our global sales organization. This leader will oversee the end-to-end deal lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence across quoting, contracting, pricing, and cross-functional coordination. The Deal Desk Manager will design, document, and continuously refine global processes, partnering closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, Product, and Operations to streamline workflows and remove friction from the sales cycle.
As the senior member of the Deal Desk function, this individual will serve as the primary escalation point for deal inquiries, mentor junior team members, and help shape a high-performing Deal Desk team that enables Sales to focus on customer engagement and revenue generation.
Responsibilities
Process Optimization and Governance
- Analyze existing sales processes, approval workflows, and deal governance practices; identify inefficiencies and develop scalable, standardized processes across markets and product lines.
- Build and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation—playbooks, SOPs, workflows, and training materials—for the Sales team and supporting functions.
- Partner with the broader Business Operations function to implement process enhancements, ensuring adoption, change management, and ongoing optimization.
Deal Execution and Support
- Support sales on complex or high-visibility deals – acting as a central point to provide guidance and drive execution on pricing, approvals, contract structure, and compliance.
- Support and mentor future junior Deal Desk specialists by providing training, direction, and escalation support as needed.
- Review deals for accuracy and compliance with Legal, Finance, Product, and corporate policies prior to submission, mitigating risks and ensuring deal quality.
Contracting and Documentation
- Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Product teams to gather requirements for customer contracts and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Assist in designing and refining standardized quote and contract templates to increase consistency and reduce cycle time.
- Maintain thorough, up-to-date records of quotes, contracts, approvals, and deal-related communications within CRM and contracting systems.
Reporting, Insights, and Enablement
- Produce regular and ad-hoc reporting on sales performance, deal metrics, pricing trends, approval cycle times, and compliance indicators to inform strategic business decisions.
- Provide day-to-day support to Sales team members on quoting, deal structuring, and contract management inquiries.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to stay informed on product updates, pricing changes, commercial strategy, and operational priorities that impact the deal lifecycle.
Issue Resolution and Cross-Functional Coordination
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or bottlenecks that arise during the quote-to-contract process, partnering with internal stakeholders to drive swift resolution.
- Serve as a liaison between Sales and other departments to ensure alignment on deal strategy, policy interpretation, and customer commitments.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in Deal Desk, Contract Management, Revenue Operations, or Direct Sales; experience supporting complex or enterprise-level deals preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline (preferred).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Salesforce.com.
- Foundational understanding of pricing methodologies, commercial terms, and sales processes; ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly.
