THE ROLE: 

As a Senior Technical Product Manager driving our Search & Personalization strategy, you’ll lead in shaping how creators discover and connect with the sounds and tools they need. You’ll be responsible for building and executing a product vision that enhances discovery experiences across our platform with a focus on the technical aspects of delivering scalable and efficient systems. You’ll bring a deep understanding of search technologies, personalization algorithms, and machine learning models to bridge the gap between business goals, user needs, and technical execution. Your work will directly impact how millions of creators engage with our platform and inspire their creative journeys.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

  • Develop and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Search & Personalization.
  • Partner closely with engineering and data science teams to ship products and features that enhance user engagement, improve the user’s search experience, and drive value through deeply personalized experiences.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear product requirements and prioritize them effectively.
  • Design and implement A/B tests and multivariate experiments to improve key metrics such as activation rates, user engagement, and retention.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, presenting findings and driving consensus on experimentation priorities.
  • Partner with design to create intuitive user experiences that make discovery seamless and enjoyable.
  • Define and track key performance metrics (KPIs) to evaluate success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct user research and analyze behavioral data to deeply understand user needs and inform product decisions.
  • Communicate product strategy, goals, and updates to stakeholders across the organization, including leadership.
  • Analyze experiment results, draw actionable insights, and make recommendations for product enhancements and iterations.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and technologies to keep Splice at the forefront of Search & Personalization innovation.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience building and shipping AI/ML-driven personalization products at scale with teams of full-stack engineers, designers, and data scientists.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr), personalization algorithms, and machine learning models. Ability to engage in technical discussions and understand architectural trade-offs.
  • Data-Driven: Proven track record with making data-informed decisions, experimentation-driven decision-making, data analysis, and defining metrics.
  • Collaboration: Strong relationship-building abilities and a collaborative mindset; skilled at partnering with direct and cross-functional teams, aligning stakeholders, achieving consensus, and driving impactful results. 
  • Outcome-Ownership: Experience delivering products end-to-end that drive measurable business outcomes. 
  • User-Centric Approach: Strong understanding of design principles, UX/UI, usability, and user experience mapping.

The national pay range for this role is $135,000 - $147,500. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
