Principal of Growth Marketing

Denver, CO

Sploot Veterinary Care is reinventing veterinary care with a modern, customer‑first approach. We’re building a new kind of vet experience—seamless, accessible, and loved by both pet parents and veterinary teams.

Backed by L Catterton, the world’s leading growth private equity investor in consumer brands, Sploot is scaling rapidly across the US. Our growth marketing team is made up of startup operators, ex‑consultants, and seasoned marketing professionals who value structured problem solving, impact orientation, and high ownership.

What you'll do as Principal of Growth Marketing:

We’re looking for a Principal of Growth Marketing to scale and optimize Sploot’s growth engine across acquisition, retention, and digital experience. You’ll identify and drive high‑impact growth opportunities across key channels - including paid media, SEO, lifecycle/CRM, and digital funnels - while overseeing a mix of internal resources and agency partners.

This is a player‑coach role: you’ll lead and orchestrate a team of marketers and agencies while rolling up your sleeves when needed to analyze performance data, optimize campaigns, and execute high‑impact initiatives. The ideal candidate is impact‑oriented, analytically sharp, and thrives in fast‑paced, high‑ownership environments.

This is a career‑defining role for a senior ex‑consultant or growth operator (5–8 years total of professional experience), blending strategy, execution, and leadership with direct exposure to the Co‑CEOs. You’ll have a clear path to Head of Growth and the opportunity to elevate an already‑strong growth engine into a world‑class system.

This is an in-office role based at Sploot HQ in Denver.

What You’ll Own:

  • Growth Strategy & Performance:
    • Own acquisition and retention marketing across Google Ads, Meta, SEO, lifecycle, and website funnels.
    • Drive CAC, LTV, ROAS, funnel conversion rates, and retention KPIs.
  • Execution & Optimization:
    • Launch and optimize paid campaigns, lifecycle flows, and landing pages.
    • Identify trends, diagnose problems, and execute solutions with speed and precision.
  • Digital Product Growth:
    • Oversee Sploot’s digital touchpoints, including the website and mobile app, ensuring a seamless customer journey from ad click to clinic visit.
    • Partner with product and engineering to improve conversion rates, booking flows, and customer experience.
  • Team & Partner Management:
    • Manage a small internal team plus agencies (SEM, SEO, lifecycle, web).
    • Ensure clear priorities, accountability, and high performance.
  • Data & Insights:
    • Build structured reporting and dashboards to track weekly and monthly performance.
    • Make decisions based on analytics and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
  • Cross‑Functional Alignment:
    • Work closely with Ops, local clinic teams, and Product to align marketing with real‑world capacity and business goals.

Who You Are:

  • 5–8 years of total professional experience, with at least 2–4 years at a top‑tier consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) and/or experience in high‑growth startups or growth marketing roles.
  • Impact‑oriented: motivated by moving the needle on KPIs and business results.
  • A player‑coach: comfortable both leading and executing.
  • Bias for action - you move fast, prioritize sharply, and turn insights into results.
  • Curious and eager to learn - you adapt quickly to new tools, domains, and challenges.
  • Strong communicator with the maturity to work directly with founders and push back thoughtfully.
  • Bonus: experience in growth marketing, digital products, or startup environments.

Why Join Sploot:

  • Own the growth engine of a fast‑scaling, venture‑backed startup.
  • Direct exposure to founders and high‑impact decision making.
  • Steep learning curve in growth marketing—go from strategy to execution and see real results.
  • Clear path to Head of Growth / VP‑level ownership as the company scales.
  • Competitive compensation + equity, and the chance to shape a category‑defining brand.

What we'll provide you:

  • Competitive salary range of $140,000 - $165,000 plus equity
  • 401(k) Retirement with company match
  • Health, Dental, and Vision insurance fully covered by Sploot
  • Health Savings Account available
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Generous pet care benefits for your fur babies
  • Up to 4 weeks of Paid Time Off (“PTO”)
  • Up to 12 weeks paid parental leave
  • 12 Sploot HQ recognized holidays
  • Dog friendly office
  • Unlimited Food & Snacks at HQ
  • Team events and other local social activities
  • Lots of Sploot swag - what can we say? Our logo looks really cool on stuff!

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
