Location/Hours: Hybrid – 3 days/week in office

POSITION OVERVIEW

SEO is seeking a purpose-driven, multimedia-savvy Content Manager to join our Marketing & Communications team. This highly collaborative role blends creative design, storytelling, and strategic content management to advance our mission, amplify community voices, and engage key stakeholders—including participants, partners, and supporters.

As part of SEO’s shared services team, the Content Manager will conceptualize and produce engaging visual and digital assets across platforms. This role will manage the lifecycle of content campaigns from ideation through execution, ensuring all deliverables align with our brand, reflect our values, and inspire action.

Content Strategy & Creation

  • Develop and deliver dynamic digital content including graphics, videos, audio, social media assets, and web applications.
  • Produce branded content that is mission-aligned, engaging, and optimized for SEO and user experience.
  • Ideate and execute content for campaigns across platforms: website, email, social media, and paid media.
  • Manage all stages of content development, ensuring consistent tone, style, and visual identity.

Design Thinking & UX Focus

  • Apply a user-centered design approach to digital experiences.
  • Ensure all assets reflect both brand integrity and audience needs.
  • Continuously improve content effectiveness through UX insights.

Collaboration & Campaigns

  • Partner closely with internal teams to understand goals and create tailored campaign strategies.
  • Troubleshoot creative challenges and ensure seamless content delivery.
  • Work with external contractors and freelancers to expand production capacity.

Leadership & Optimization

  • Oversee quality, timeliness, and consistency of content deliverables provided by external contractors.
  • Monitor digital analytics, extract insights, and adapt strategies for short- and long-term impact.
  • Stay current on emerging trends, tools, and industry best practices.
  • Manage digital content budgets as needed.
  • Provide tactical event planning and execution as needed.
  • Maintain an all-hands mentality in the execution of other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications and graphic design.
  • Experience in brand development and management, including establishing brand hierarchies required.
  • Experience developing creative campaigns, crafting project plans, and utilizing project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Basecamp) desired.
  • Experience with multicultural marketing and imagery is strongly preferred but not required.

COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

  • Must have a strong understanding of brand and marketing best practices.
  • Must possess a deep curiosity and interest in culture and a pulse on trends, events, platforms, and thought leaders within the space.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat), Microsoft Office, Google applications, Figma, and appropriate other platforms. Familiarity with HTML and CSS is a plus.
  • Ability to think strategically, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to work on a team and independently to deliver results.
  • Customer service orientation with client relationship management skills.
  • A passion for the mission of SEO and a commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.

The compensation listed in this posting reflects what SEO believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
