POSITION OVERVIEW
The Program Manager, Alternative Investments supports the Associate Director, Alternative Investments and Senior Resident, AIFP in the day-to-day coordination and execution of SEO's Alternative Investments programming for the Alternative Investment Fellowship Program (AIFP). At times, this position may work with the Project Manager for the other programs in the Alternatives Investments portfolio, including Level Up: Alternative Investments and Investment Academy to encourage pipeline development and joint activities.
While the Program Manager will have exposure to participants and contribute to their development journey, the core of the work centers on keeping programs running smoothly — managing logistics, tracking deliverables, coordinating across coaches and vendors, maintaining program data, and supporting the Senior Resident and Associate Director in executing against strategic priorities. This role serves as an operational backbone for the Alternative Investments Fellowship Program, ensuring that programming is well-organized, information flows effectively across stakeholders, and nothing falls through the cracks.
Program Coordination & Operations (40%)
- Support the end-to-end coordination of AIFP programming, including scheduling, logistics, communications, and event execution for workshops, bootcamps, roadshows, partner-led sessions, and other program touchpoint.
- Maintain and update program calendars, participant trackers, coach schedules, and operational documentation to ensure the Associate Director and the broader team have accurate, real-time visibility into program status and upcoming deliverables.
- Assist in coordinating logistics for the SEO Alternative Investments Conference and other marquee program events, supporting planning activities and on-site execution.
- Assist in sourcing and coordinating with vendors, third-party training providers, and external coaches, managing scheduling and follow-through to ensure programming is delivered on time and to standard.
- Support the coordination of partner-led events, including materials preparation, firm communications, and post-event follow-up, in collaboration with the Partnerships and Events teams.
- Serve as a consistent point of contact for program participants on logistical and administrative matters, directing substantive coaching and advising questions to the appropriate team member or coach.
Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration (30%)
- Support the Associate Director in managing work streams across the Alternative Investments portfolio, tracking progress against program milestones, flagging risks or delays, and helping to keep deliverables on schedule.
- Liaise with the Pathways team to coordinate participant readiness updates, ensure timely information-sharing about candidate pipeline status, and support the matching and placement process for AIFP participants.
- Coordinate with the Program Manager supporting Level Up: Alternative Investments and Investment Academy to support the pipeline for alternative investments roles, ensuring scheduling and logistics are aligned.
- Collaborate with coaches and AIFP mentors supporting the Alternative Investments programs — coordinating their schedules, managing session logistics, and tracking participation and completion — to ensure coaching is well-integrated and consistently delivered across the portfolio.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of program curriculum materials, sourcing publicly available resources and coordinating with third-party training providers as directed by the Associate Director and Senior Resident.
- Draft written content for participant communications, program marketing materials, newsletters, and engagement updates.
Participant Engagement Support (15%)
- Support the onboarding of new AIFP participants, including communicating program expectations, distributing materials, and tracking completion of intake requirements.
- Assist in the fellow and participant selection process for AIFP, coordinating application logistics, scheduling interviews, and managing candidate pipeline tracking in collaboration with the Associate Director and Senior Resident
- Facilitate participant engagement touchpoints — including information sessions, check-ins, and group workshops — as directed, with a focus on connecting participants to the right resources, coaches, and program opportunities at each stage of their development.
Data Management & Reporting (15%)
- Maintain program data across tracking systems and databases, ensuring participant records, engagement logs, coach activity, and outcome data are current and accurate.
- Support the preparation of regular program performance updates and reporting for the Associate Director and Senior Resident, compiling data on participants engaged, coaching sessions completed, and placement and conversion outcomes across the Alternative Investments portfolio.
- Track key program metrics — including AIFP fellows class formation, participant engagement rates, and placement rates — and flag data gaps or discrepancies to the Associate Director and Senior Resident for resolution.
- Respond to ad hoc data and reporting requests from the Associate Director, Senior Resident and other program team members with accuracy and appropriate urgency.
- Perform other assigned duties in support of SEO Career & Alternative Investments program goals and the overall mission of the organization.
