Job Objective
As a Training People Manager at SpotOn, your primary responsibility will be to develop and support a high-performing team of trainers and instructional designers. By focusing on their professional growth, performance metrics, and engagement, you will ensure the team is empowered to drive impactful learning experiences across the organization. This role emphasizes building a team culture rooted in excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement, while overseeing the collaborative efforts between trainers and instructional designers to deliver high-quality educational solutions.
Main Duties:
Trainer and Instructional Designer Performance Management:
- Establish performance goals and metrics for both trainers and instructional designers, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to review individual performance, provide feedback, and set actionable development plans.
- Monitor and track the performance of instructional designers to ensure quality and timely delivery of projects.
- Analyze performance data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and success stories, making adjustments to improve overall effectiveness.
Continuous Development of Trainers and Instructional Designers:
- Design and implement ongoing development programs for trainers and instructional designers, focusing on skill enhancement, leadership capabilities, and instructional design techniques.
- Encourage both teams to stay updated with industry trends, methodologies, and tools to remain effective and innovative in their roles.
Coaching and Mentorship:
- Provide direct coaching to trainers and instructional designers to address challenges and unlock their full potential.
- Foster a supportive environment where both trainers and instructional designers feel motivated to take ownership of their professional growth.
Simplifying and Accelerating Delivery Process:
- Streamline workflows and processes to simplify the delivery of training materials and instructional content.
- Identify and remove bottlenecks to accelerate the time it takes to complete and deploy educational solutions.
Team Engagement and Culture Building:
- Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence within both the training and instructional design teams.
- Recognize and celebrate successes, fostering morale and reinforcing a commitment to high performance.
Collaboration and Leadership Alignment:
- Work closely with leadership to ensure trainers and instructional designers are well-prepared to meet organizational needs and deliver exceptional results.
- Act as a key advisor to senior management on the capabilities, challenges, and opportunities within both teams.

Requirements:
- Proven ability to drive high performance within teams, setting clear expectations and delivering measurable results.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and inspiring others.
- Strong analytical abilities to evaluate trainer performance and implement data-driven improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster trust and collaboration across teams.
- Three years of experience in managing and developing training teams, with a strong emphasis on performance and leadership development.
- Experience in using eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate360, Synthesia).
- Familiarity with training methodologies, adult learning principles, and industry best practices.
- English - Native, Advanced Cambridge Level C1 or C2.
- Excellent written English skills.
- This role is based in Mexico City and requires onsite presence.
