What You’ll Do
Join Spotter's elite engineering team as a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in Microservices and AI built with Node. This role demands a seasoned engineer with a deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and AI technologies. Your expertise will be instrumental in building and scaling our next-generation backend systems.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient microservices, focusing on high-throughput and low-latency requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and translate requirements into robust, scalable software solutions.
- Drive technical excellence through code reviews, architectural discussions, and implementing best practices.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify requirements, define project scope, and prioritize features for development.
- Design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions using Node.
- Own multiple services, from ideation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
Who You Are
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on backend engineering.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive experience in building and maintaining microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Generative AI, OpenAI, LLama2, Stable Diffusion is a plus
- Strong experience in building microservices using Node
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform is a plus.

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Culver City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $100K-$500K salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Spotter’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual discretionary bonus and equity.
