Live Instructor - Data Driven Strategic Thinking (Part-time/Remote)
The Opportunity
Springboard has launched an 8-week boot camp in Data-Driven Strategic Thinking for high-potential junior and mid-level data-curious professionals across diverse teams and organizations. This course focuses on data literacy and analysis, strategic thinking, and influential communication and enables an organization’s employees to have a strategic impact using data-driven decisions.
We are currently seeking instructors to lead our live sessions that will cover Strategic Thinking Mindset, Writing SMART Problem Statements, Building Issue Trees, Storytelling, etc. The sessions shall be interactive and focus on clarifying concepts in the course material, practical application, guidance for problem statements, and group facilitation.
The Springboard course development team will provide the exact topics to be covered in each session, the basic lesson plan for each session, and a slide deck based on this lesson plan. However, we will lean on you to take it ahead and finalize the lesson plan for the sessions you would want to conduct, based on your experience, insights, and persona. You would then deliver the virtual session live to our learners. We are looking for someone who has vast experience in consulting, teaching and/or mentoring individuals in these domains, and can provide additional hours outside of the lessons to support students throughout the course.
Responsibilities
- Attend student and mentor orientation sessions and be prepared to answer questions
- Deliver three different 90-minute virtual sessions designed by our course development team
- Facilitate the final 90-minute showcase for students and their sponsors
- Offer flexible prep week support for showcases offering a minimum of 3 hours of support to increase the quality of showcase presentations. These can be in 1:1 or group settings
- Provide updates on cohort performance, iterating as needed to ensure top-quality deliverables
- Engage students in a class setting and facilitate discussions
- Answer questions and troubleshoot issues with students
- Operate as a subject matter expert for our course development team to continue to iterate and improve our course offering
You
- Have 10+ years of professional experience
- Have 4+ years of experience in management/strategy consulting. McKinsey, Bain, and BCG experience a plus
- Are experienced in virtual workshop facilitation with a passion for engaging remote learners and managing group dynamics in a virtual environment
- Are a great motivator and can guide students through difficult subjects
- Have experience delivering lessons or workshops on Data-Driven Strategic Thinking topics
- Are empathetic and have excellent communication skills
Compensation:
- This role is paid on a cohort-by-cohort basis
- The expected hours per cohort are 15-20 hours throughout the 8-week course
- The rate per cohort is $3000
