Externship Partnerships Representative (Healthcare Programs)

Pay: $20-$22 an hour, pending location and experience

 

Role Summary:

At Springboard, we help people launch in-demand careers through job-focused education and hands-on support.

We’re expanding into Allied Health programs — focusing on our  Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) program — to help learners start meaningful careers in healthcare.

To make that possible, we’re building a nationwide network of externship partners — clinics, pharmacies, and healthcare providers that host our students for their hands-on training.

We’re looking for a Healthcare Externship Partnerships Representative to help us grow this network. In this role, you’ll focus on sourcing, engaging, and securing new externship sites across clinics, hospitals, health systems, and other care settings. You’ll also collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth experience for both students and partners.

The ideal candidate is passionate about helping people access healthcare careers, confident on the phone, and skilled at building relationships with healthcare organizations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct 4–5 hours of outbound calls and emails daily to prospective externship partners (clinics, hospitals, and outpatient centers) to introduce Springboard’s healthcare programs and drive new partnerships.
  • Engage, qualify, and schedule meetings with interested sites; manage outreach targets and conversion goals.
  • Track all outreach activity and maintain accurate partner data in CRM tools (HubSpot, Airtable, or Salesforce) to ensure consistent follow-ups and clear pipeline visibility.
  • Support site vetting and onboarding by collecting readiness details, facilitating agreements, and coordinating next steps with the Program Operations team.
  • Maintain relationships and ensure a great partner experience, following up with active and prospective sites to confirm placement needs and gather feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Career Services, Operations, Compliance) to align externship partnerships with student placement demand and program growth goals.

Qualifications

Required

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales, recruiting, admissions, partnerships, or outreach coordination (preferably in a healthcare or education setting).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; comfortable making high-volume calls daily.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented, with experience managing outreach pipelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency with CRM or tracking tools (e.g., HubSpot, Airtable, Google Sheets).
  • Genuine interest in healthcare education, workforce development, or student success.

Preferred (not required):

  • Experience working with healthcare organizations or externship/clinical sites.
  • Background in allied health, medical assisting, pharmacy, or healthcare recruiting.
  • Familiarity with CRM or sales tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, etc.).
  • Existing connections within the allied health or healthcare employer ecosystem.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first few months, you will have:

  • Conducted hundreds of outreach calls and emails weekly to targeted externship partners.
  • Scheduled qualified meetings that lead to new externship site agreements.
  • Maintained accurate records and follow-up systems that make partner engagement easy to scale.
