Role Summary
The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for gynecologic, obstetric, and infertility ultrasounds utilizing transducers (both 2D abdominal and vaginal transducer and also 3D vaginal transducer), ultrasound imaging equipment, and doppler technology. They will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality patient care and working closely with our dynamic clinical team.
- Prepares exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography examinations
- Performing clinical assessments and diagnostic gynecologic, obstetric, and infertility ultrasound procedures utilizing various transducers (3D, 2D vaginal and abdominal)
- Utilize EMR system to properly import scans accurately.
- Address concerns of abnormal findings with physician in a timely manner
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA) and facility policies, and procedures.
- Maintain exam rooms and U/S supplies and equipment (sterilizing of the transducer and of the ultrasound machines, etc)
- Integrates education, technical competence and patient interaction skills to execute safe and precise procedures to deliver accurate results in a timely manner
- Performing standard clinic MA duties as needed (vitals, flipping rooms, etc.)
Education, Licenses, Certifications
- American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDS) certification required
- 2 years previous experience in OB/GYN or infertility required
Employment Type
This is a full-time non-exempt onsite position that requires early hours, rotational weekends and holidays.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $44-$52/hr. Salary is based on several factors including job related knowledge and skill set, depth of experience, certifications and/or degrees.
