Junior test Engineer – Embedded Systems

As a Junior Test Engineer - Embedded Systems, you will be an integral part of the testing team, focusing on ensuring the quality of embedded systems and hardware-software-firmware integration. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with 1-2 years of experience to work on innovative products and grow within the team.

The Requirements:

· 0-2 years of experience in testing embedded systems or recent graduation in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

· Basic understanding of embedded systems, including microcontrollers, sensors, and communication protocols.

· Exposure to software testing methodologies, tools, and processes, especially in the context of hardware-software integration.

· Familiarity with testing tools like Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, or similar hardware-related test equipment is a plus.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Familiarity with embedded system languages (C/C++) or scripting languages (Python) is a bonus.

· Exposure to Agile testing practices preferred.

· Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.

· Work hours from 4 pm-1 am (1 hour lunch break).

· Onsite only.

The Responsibilities:

· Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for embedded systems, ensuring hardware and software work in harmony.

· Assist in the design and development of comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

· Test embedded firmware functionality and its integration with hardware systems.

· Perform root cause analysis for issues found during testing, assisting senior engineers in diagnosing and troubleshooting.

· Collaborate with hardware, software, and firmware teams to ensure product functionality and reliability.

.  Validate system performance, robustness, and functionality, and document test results in clear reports.

· Work closely with the QA team to contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.

· Participate in the review of technical requirements to ensure testability.

· Report, track, and manage bugs using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).

· Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).

· Strong interpersonal collaboration skills.

· Experience working with offshore teams and managing testing activities across multiple time zones.

 

Work Location - Hyderabad only (work from office only)

Work Time - 4pm - 1am IST
