Courier - Driver

Responsibilities:

• Operate a vehicle whose gross vehicle weight exceeds 10,001 lbs (i.e. Cube Truck, 24 - 26 ft Straight Truck)
• Perform all scheduled and unscheduled pickups and deliveries on campus utilizing company vehicle
• Pick-up and deliver parcels, packages and other items to customers within established timeframes and service standards
• Lift large bundles of packages and shipments
• Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude
• Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, production environment
• Participate in cross-training and perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain all logs and reporting documentation; strong attention to detail
• Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines
• Adhere to all applicable safety policies, DOT and traffic regulations
• Operate forklift as needed (will provide training and certification)
Qualifications:

• A valid California's driver's license with a good driving record
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Ability to meet and comply with all applicable US Department of Transportation requirements
• Minimum of 1 year driving, courier or delivery experience
• Experience in driving vehicles from vans to 24' trucks
• Ability to adhere to safe driving procedures and awareness of delivery areas
• Ability to meet delivery schedules in a safe, secure and friendly manner
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills
• Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
• Lifting up to 40 pounds with or without accommodation. Ability to safely and securely maneuver and deliver heavy and/or palletized product.
• Standing for long periods of time with or without accommodation
• Significant walking, lifting, pushing pulling with or without accommodation

Pay Range

$23 - $23 USD
