Client Service Associate
The Client Services Associate provides exceptional office and mail services, delivering operational functions in the following areas: processing of client records fulfillment, cross training in all mailroom services.
Overall, this position continuously offers the highest level of service to all client and SPS employees while maintaining a professional image of the company by providing prompt, courteous and efficient service.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight exceeding 10,001 lbs (e.g., Cube Truck, 24-26 ft Straight Truck) for scheduled and unscheduled pickups and deliveries on campus.
- Pick-up and deliver parcels, packages, and other items to customers within established timeframes and service standards.
- Lift large bundles of packages and shipments as required.
- Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude.
- Demonstrate flexibility in meeting customer demands in a high-volume, production environment.
- Participate in cross-training and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Maintain all logs and reporting documentation with strong attention to detail.
- Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines.
- Adhere to safety policies, DOT, and traffic regulations at all times.
- Operate a forklift as needed (training and certification provided).
- Maintain a neat and orderly Business Service Center area.
- Assist with copy/print orders and monitor equipment functionality.
- Proactively seek additional work during downtime and support other team members as needed.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and teams, ensuring a high level of professionalism.
- Provide superior customer service and maintain composure in all employee interactions.
- Handle various support service activities, such as printing, organizing, and preparing outgoing mail or accountable items.
- Utilize onsite resources, software, and programs to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Maintain a consistent and flexible schedule to meet business needs, including overtime during peak times.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information, adhering to all security protocols and compliance expectations.
- Manage inventory of supplies weekly, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining par levels.
- Perform quality control functions to ensure accuracy in all tasks.
- Cross-train to perform mailroom services when required and monitor client communications in a timely manner.
- Calculate and document daily metrics, meeting all reporting deadlines.
Qualifications:
- A valid California driver's license with a good driving record.
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- Ability to comply with all applicable US Department of Transportation requirements.
- Minimum 1 year of driving, courier, or delivery experience.
- Experience driving vehicles from vans to 24' trucks.
- Ability to adhere to safe driving procedures and awareness of delivery areas.
- Excellent customer service skills, both internally and externally.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet the employer's attendance policy.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without accommodation and safely maneuver heavy or palletized products.
- Ability to stand for long periods, with or without accommodation, and perform significant walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling tasks.
- Must be able to pass a client-specific background screening.
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service or related experience.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn computer-based systems required for the position.

- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel).

- Experience with large/production printing devices preferred.
- Basic PC/Windows experience required.
Additional Requirements:
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Required to maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Must be available for overtime during peak seasonal periods.
Physical Demands:
- Fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 60 lbs.
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of time.
- Manual dexterity required for operating office machinery (phone, copy machines, binding equipment, etc.).
- Ability to lift or move 45 lbs. or greater frequently.
