Fraud Specialist (Call Center)

We are seeking a dedicated Call Center Fraud Specialist. In this role, you will be the first line of defense against fraudulent activity, working within a fast-paced call center environment to identify, investigate, and resolve potential fraud cases across various channels.
You’ll handle inbound and outbound calls related to suspicious transactions, verify customer identity, and collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely resolution. This position requires strong communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy under pressure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor customer transactions and accounts to detect unusual or suspicious activity in real time.
- Analyze data to identify emerging fraud trends, patterns, and potential vulnerabilities.
- Contact customers to verify potentially fraudulent transactions and take appropriate action to secure accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams—including Risk, Compliance, and Customer Service—and occasionally liaise with law enforcement or external partners.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and optimization of fraud prevention tools, techniques, and workflows.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Customer Service Representative in a call center environment.
- Previous experience in fraud detection, risk analysis, or call center support preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on accuracy and documentation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in using customer service software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of time.
- Manual dexterity is required for operating office machinery (phone, computer, copy machines, binding equipment, etc.).
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to utilize computer monitor and keyboard.

Pay Range
$21 - $21 USD
