Squadformers is seeking a talented, driven Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in support of our exciting start-up clientele.


In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that enhance user experiences.
This will be for an edtech company dedicated to empowering school district leaders to continuously learn, strategize, and execute initiatives that drive meaningful change in their communities. Our tools help schools gather and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data, providing insights from everyday experiences to broader trends.We’re looking for a Full-Stack javascript developer, with proficiency in writing both front and backend code, with the ability to maintain high standards and consistency within the application.

What you'll be doing:


  • Be part of a growing distributed team, which means you are remote 100% of the time.
  • Implementing new features, redesigning or removing existing ones, and fixing bugs.
  • Working on missions for our clients to help improve product velocity, deliver and help build delightful products.
  • Collaborate and communicate with your squad members on a daily basis to share knowledge and expertise.
  • Contribute to a fast-moving startup and have a meaningful, direct impact.
  • Be a part of a team that values each other and is interested in the professional and personnel progression of one another.

What we are looking for:


  • 2-5+ years experience Node.js for backend development
  • 2-5+ experience with managing environment variables using tools like dotenv.
  • 2-5+ years experience with Google Cloud Platform, Google Big Query, and Google Looker Studio.
  • Strong proficiency in both JavaScript and Typescript.
  • Proficiency in using Docker for containerization and managing development environments.
  • Strong Git skills, including using submodules.
  • Familiarity with Vue.js.
  • Understanding of CI/CD practices, especially with linting and formatting checks.
  • Flexible and efficient at learning and picking up new languages, frameworks, libraries, and tools.
  • You are a great communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Passionate about our values and love to grow.
  • Self-starter, team player and independent — you can manage yourself efficiently.
  • Able and willing to work 40hrs/week
  • A degree is not required.

Pay: $100-150k DOE and location.
