
Inside Sales Associate (Temporary)
Squishable is a close-knit team of designers, artists, pop culture-fanatics, and lovers of all things adorable. Together we create the cutest, cuddliest, (and sometimes downright unusual) plush and lifestyle products in the world. With the millions-strong Squishable fan community cheering us on (and a lot of cupcakes, coffee, and karaoke) we make people say "awww." Our offices are in a sunny Soho loft in NYC, and downtown Washington DC.
What does this position do?
This ideal Inside Sales Associate is an energetic, aggressive self-starter who is capable of managing heavy inbound/outbound phone contact with existing and prospective clients. The position requires excellent organization, computer, and phone skills, and the ability to achieve sales goals.
Responsibilities:
- Receives and responds to inbound sales leads and converts them to new business
- Makes a high level of outbound calls to potential prospects
- Develops accounts by checking customers’ buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining product features.
- Research and understand our product line and be familiar with each product’s function and purpose, so you can confidently upsell our customers to compatible products
- Follow up with other departments to ensure the timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.
- Track open sales orders and assist with resolving customer service requests
- Maintain and expand the database of prospects to build a pipeline
- Write orders for clients and provide order information, including lead times, availability, pricing, and delivery
- Work with team members to facilitate calls, manage workflow, minimize hold times, and process/receive payments throughout the sales process
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience selling in an inside sales environment or demonstrated success working with customers
- Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet agreed-upon deadlines
- Self-starter who can work independently, but knows when to bring the management team into the decision-making process
- Fast learner; can learn, retain, and apply information quickly and efficiently
- High degree of computer literacy; must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with inventory sales preferred
The rate of pay for this position is $23.00 - $24.00 per hour, plus incentive pay offered for
Role Duration: 3-4 months ( Start ASAP)
This position is required to work in-office 5 days per week while onboarding, then will be eligible to work a hybrid (4 in office / 1 WFH ) work schedule.
