AM: Executive Assistant (PM)

New York, New York, United States, New York, NY, United States

Stone Ridge is a $39B diversified financial services firm that creates innovative capital markets solutions through a group of industry-leading operating companies. Founded in 2012 and based in New York, we build businesses and investment strategies in markets where deep expertise, proprietary data, and disciplined execution can create lasting advantages.

We build products we want for ourselves and invest in all our strategies alongside our partners. Everything we do—from how we approach problems to how we work with one another—is grounded in our core values: Focus. Be Humble. Be Kind.

Why Stone Ridge?

Stone Ridge is intentionally flat, meritocratic, and demanding. Ideas matter more than titles, and people are trusted with meaningful responsibility. The bargain is simple: you get to work here, and in return, you commit to keep learning, keep improving, and striving to be the best in the industry at what you do.

Stone Ridge Asset Management develops differentiated alternative investment strategies designed to provide valuable sources of return and diversification beyond traditional stocks and bonds.

The Opportunity

Stone Ridge is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to four fund managers within Alternative Fixed Income (AFI), a broad group spanning multiple Stone Ridge companies. The person will be primarily responsible for managing complex, multi-stakeholder calendars, coordinating domestic and international travel, and supporting business development and cross-functional execution. The role reports to the Administrative Support lead and works closely with portfolio, business development, and operations teams.

This is an opportunity to work at the center of a fast-moving, entrepreneurial team, with exposure to a wide range of strategic initiatives across the firm. The role is well suited to someone who thrives on managing multiple priorities at once, anticipates needs before being asked, and takes ownership of the details that keep a busy team running smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • Manage complex, frequently changing calendars for the four fund managers supported, resolving conflicts and prioritizing time based on business needs
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries and contingency planning
  • Prepare agendas, briefing materials, and follow-up notes for internal and external meetings
  • Build and maintain systems for tracking deliverables and recurring commitments across workstreams, recognizing patterns — the meeting types, reporting cycles, or events that require lead time — and planning them out weeks in advance
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across AFI's businesses, serving as a liaison between fund managers, business development, and operations teams
  • Process expense reports and invoices for the fund managers supported, ensuring accuracy and timely reimbursement

What You Bring

Required

  • Three or more years of experience supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced financial services, technology, or professional services environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex calendars and coordinate detailed travel across multiple time zones
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication, including polished correspondence on behalf of senior leaders
  • Advanced organizational skills, with the instinct to connect dots, escalate issues, and manage competing priorities under time pressure
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common collaboration tools

Preferred

  • Experience supporting portfolio management, investment, or business development functions
  • Experience using AI tools to improve personal or team productivity

What Success Looks Like

  • Independently manages calendars and travel for the fund managers supported with minimal oversight, anticipating conflicts before they arise
  • Becomes the fund managers' first point of contact for administrative decisions, freeing their time for investment-focused work
  • Becomes a reliable point of coordination across business, portfolio, and operations teams
  • Improves the consistency and efficiency of team communication and documentation
