AM: VIP Helpdesk Executive Support Specialist

New York, New York, United States, New York, NY, United States

Stone Ridge is a $39B diversified financial services firm that creates innovative capital markets solutions through a group of industry-leading operating companies. Founded in 2012 and based in New York, we build businesses and investment strategies in markets where deep expertise, proprietary data, and disciplined execution can create lasting advantages.

We build products we want for ourselves and invest in all our strategies alongside our partners. Everything we do—from how we approach problems to how we work with one another—is grounded in our core values: Focus. Be Humble. Be Kind.

Why Stone Ridge?

Stone Ridge is intentionally flat, meritocratic, and demanding. Ideas matter more than titles, and people are trusted with meaningful responsibility. The bargain is simple: you get to work here, and in return, you commit to keep learning, keep improving, and striving to be the best in the industry at what you do.

Stone Ridge Asset Management develops differentiated alternative investment strategies designed to provide valuable sources of return and diversification beyond traditional stocks and bonds.

The Opportunity

Stone Ridge is seeking a VIP Helpdesk Executive Support Specialist to serve as the primary technology partner to the firm’s most senior executives, board members, and VIP personnel. The person will be primarily responsible for providing rapid, white-glove IT support across desktop, mobile, and cloud environments, managing technology for executive travel and high-profile meetings and events, and coaching executives and their assistants on the tools they rely on daily. The role reports to the Head of Corporate Infrastructure and works closely with the network, security, application development, and infrastructure teams to resolve escalations swiftly.

This is a distinctive opportunity to operate at the highest level of visibility in the firm, where discretion, judgment, and technical depth matter as much as speed. The role is well suited to someone who thrives on white-glove, client-style service, stays calm under pressure, and wants to shape how technology supports the firm’s leadership day to day.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary IT liaison for senior executives, board members, and their executive assistants, providing rapid-response support across desktop, mobile, and cloud environments on-site and remotely
  • Manage setup, troubleshooting, and support for executive devices and meeting room technology, including laptops, mobile devices, tablets, video conferencing systems, and secure access equipment
  • Deliver end-to-end AV and connectivity support for hybrid and in-person board meetings and high-profile events
  • Prepare executives for travel by pre-provisioning devices, configuring secure remote access, and advising on connectivity abroad
  • Provide concierge-style onboarding for executives, including personalized device setup, account configuration, and training on Microsoft 365, Teams/Zoom, and other collaboration and AI tools
  • Build automation to streamline recurring infrastructure and helpdesk tasks, and lead desktop engineering projects such as VDI deployment
  • Document supported technology solutions and cross-train the broader team on new tools and updates
  • Partner across network, security, application development, and infrastructure teams to resolve escalations and coordinate technology upgrades

What You Bring

Required

  • 5+ years of IT support experience, including at least 2+ years in an executive support or VIP helpdesk role
  • Experience in financial services or another environment with a high bar for confidentiality and white-glove support
  • Willingness to travel at a moment’s notice
  • Expert knowledge of enterprise desktop/laptop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and mobile platforms (iOS, Android), with strong hands-on expertise in the Microsoft 365 suite
  • Scripting and automation experience, along with the technical writing and communication skills to document solutions and cross-train the team
  • Working knowledge of core IT infrastructure: Active Directory/DNS, Group Policy, endpoint management (Intune, JAMF, or similar MDM), and enterprise networking concepts (Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, remote access)
  • Familiarity with AV/VC platforms (Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, Cisco Webex, or equivalent) and core information security concepts (MFA, SSO, DLP)

Preferred

  • Direct experience with Microsoft EntraID and Exchange administration consoles
  • Prior experience supporting hybrid or virtual board meetings and high-profile executive events

What Success Looks Like

  • Is trusted by senior executives, board members, and their assistants as the go-to technology partner, with minimal need for escalation
  • Independently manages executive travel and high-profile meeting support, including AV and connectivity, without last-minute scrambling
  • Has automated recurring helpdesk and infrastructure tasks, reducing manual effort and response time for VIP requests
  • Has earned the confidence of network, security, application development, and infrastructure teams as an efficient escalation partner
  • Has documented supported technology solutions and cross-trained the team, reducing single points of failure in VIP support
