SRHG: Fund Controller
Stone Ridge is a $39B diversified financial services firm that creates innovative capital markets solutions through a group of industry-leading operating companies. Founded in 2012 and based in New York, we build businesses and investment strategies in markets where deep expertise, proprietary data, and disciplined execution can create lasting advantages.
We build products we want for ourselves and invest in all our strategies alongside our partners. Everything we do—from how we approach problems to how we work with one another—is grounded in our core values: Focus. Be Humble. Be Kind.
Why Stone Ridge?
Stone Ridge is intentionally flat, meritocratic, and demanding. Ideas matter more than titles, and people are trusted with meaningful responsibility. The bargain is simple: you get to work here, and in return, you commit to keep learning, keep improving, and striving to be the best in the industry at what you do.
Stone Ridge Asset Management develops differentiated alternative investment strategies designed to provide valuable sources of return and diversification beyond traditional stocks and bonds.
The Opportunity
Stone Ridge is hiring a Fund Controller to own the day-to-day accounting for the firm’s public and private
funds, including mutual funds, hedge funds, securitization vehicles, and private equity-type funds. The
person will be primarily responsible for managing the monthly close process and investor reporting,
overseeing the relationship with fund administrators and regulatory reporting, and reviewing fund
expenses and the annual audit. The role reports to the Head of Finance and works closely with the
investor relations team and fund administrators on capital calls, distributions, and NAV reconciliation.
This is a distinctive opportunity to help build out accounting infrastructure for Stone Ridge’s growing
alternative lending franchise, where prior securitization experience is especially valuable, and to help
launch new funds and products as the firm’s strategies expand. The role suits someone who can think
critically about complex fund structures, work and research independently, and multitask across strategies
in a fast-paced environment, with room to grow as both the individual and the firm scale.

• Oversee monthly and quarterly regulatory reporting.

and fund administrators.
• Review fund expenses and oversee expense waterfall calculations.
• Lead the annual audit process, including detailed review of annual financial statements.
