Position Summary    

We are seeking an Agile Process Manager to lead and support multiple concurrent initiatives using Agile-based methodologies with a strong emphasis on quality, performance, and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for ensuring teams deliver high-value outcomes that align with business objectives and provide meaningful value to customers.

The ideal candidate brings experience blending traditional project management principles with Agile practices, applying the right balance of structure and adaptability to suit varying project and organizational needs. This individual will act as a servant leader, coach, and facilitator, helping teams mature in their Agile practices while maintaining accountability and delivering excellence.

Location: This position is fully remote within the Continental United States. 

Compensation: The salary range for this position is between  $112k and $125k, depending on experience level.

 

Primary Responsibilities    

  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent software and application development projects using Agile frameworks and hybrid delivery approaches.
  • Run cross-functional processes, initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts with minimal supervision, creating structure and clarity in ambiguous or evolving environments.
  • Build or refine Agile processes where needed, particularly in environments lacking formal structure or experiencing rapid organizational growth.
  • Guide teams in continuous improvement by leveraging Agile Performance Optimization (APO) data, delivery metrics, and feedback loops to identify trends, remove impediments, and enhance effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with Product Owners, APO team members, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into clearly defined scope, deliverables, and actionable work.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, stand-ups, and reviews to drive alignment, accountability, and transparency.
  • Monitor project health, team velocity, CI/CD workflows, and performance metrics to proactively manage risks and delivery challenges.
  • Proactively identify and resolve team conflicts related to priorities, delivery expectations, policy, or cross-functional dynamics.

 Required Qualifications & Skills  

  • Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models and deep knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management methodologies, with the ability to apply a blended or hybrid approach when appropriate.
  • Proven experience successfully delivering software or web development projects using Agile methodologies.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Project Manager leading cross-functional application development projects.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently run initiatives and establish structure in ambiguous environments.
  • Strong technical fluency, including comfort navigating development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and API interactions at a conceptual level.
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with engineering teams and understand technical constraints when evaluating trade-offs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging engineering, product, business, and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve team conflicts related to priorities, timelines, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance attention to detail with strategic, big-picture thinking.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

Desired Characteristics    

  • History of building Agile processes where none previously existed.
  • Experience scaling Agile practices during periods of rapid organizational growth.
  • Demonstrated analytical mindset, consistently using metrics, data, and feedback loops to guide continuous improvement.
  • Experience using Agile metrics and reporting tools to drive measurable performance outcomes.
  • Familiarity with hybrid Agile/traditional delivery environments.
  • Background in IT, operations, or support environments that required structured investigation, root-cause analysis, and resolution.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell) to automate workflows, reporting, or tooling integrations.
  • Experience coaching teams through Agile transformation or process maturity initiatives.
  • Certification(s) such as PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or SAFe are a plus.

Physical Requirements/Special Demands   

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work on the computer for the majority of the regular workday.
