The Director of eCommerce will be instrumental in shaping the strategic landscape of our online presence and operations to meet the evolving demands of the digital marketplace. Reporting directly to the VP of eCommerce, this individual will be tasked with designing and implementing innovative eCommerce strategies to drive measurable improvements across our key performance indicators and further our business objectives.
The role:
- Develop and execute robust eCommerce strategies that align with our company's objectives and drive significant growth in our online presence.
- Collaborate with the Performance Marketing Lead and eCommerce Specialist to implement cohesive and impactful marketing campaigns across major digital platforms.
- Utilize deep expertise in Shopify, Klaviyo, VWO, Sanity.io, and Attentive to help optimize our eCommerce site and personalize customer interactions (CRO).
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in our eCommerce strategy.
- Help Manage and allocate eight-figure digital marketing budgets effectively, ensuring optimal use of resources for maximum return on investment.
- Provide strategic insights and detailed performance analysis to senior management, including monthly reporting on key metrics, progress against goals, and strategic recommendations for future actions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging technology and data analytics to enhance business operations and customer satisfaction.
- Engage with senior executives, including the CEO and other VPs, to align eCommerce strategies with overall business goals and secure buy-in for strategic initiatives.
- Support the company's commitment to social and environmental responsibility by integrating sustainable practices into strategic initiatives and daily operations, reflecting our dedication to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions and full Circularity within the set timeline.
- Serve as a key strategic advisor, providing actionable insights and recommendations to optimize operational efficiency and support the company's continued growth and scalability.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in eCommerce, particularly in a DTC or B2C environment.
- Proven expertise in managing and optimizing eCommerce platforms, with a mastery of Shopify.
- In-depth knowledge of eCommerce strategies, including funnel optimization and direct marketing.
- Proficient in using advanced tools like Klaviyo, Attentive, Looker Studio, VWO, Sanity.io, etc.
- A strong analytical mindset and experience with data-driven decision making.
- Comfortable deploying and managing 8-figure digital marketing budgets, demonstrating a capacity to effectively allocate resources and maximize ROI.
- Hands-on approach with a readiness to act as an individual contributor when necessary, including during evenings and weekends, ensuring agility and responsiveness in all aspects of eCommerce operations.
