Definition: The Fulfillment Lead reports directly to the Fulfillment Manager and plays a crucial role in overseeing day-to-day fulfillment operations. This role ensures efficient workflow across picking, packing, shipping, and returns processes while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy. The Fulfillment Lead acts as a key liaison between the Fulfillment team and Customer Experience (CX) teams, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional service delivery. Additionally, this role focuses on training, team support, and continuous process improvement to optimize operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate must be comfortable working rotating shifts, including day and night.
Reports to: Fulfilment Manager
Responsibilities:
- Team Training and Support:
- Train and mentor pick and pack team members to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to best practices.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to team members, fostering a productive and collaborative environment.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory scanning processes to ensure accurate stock records and proper organization on designated shelves.
- Assign tasks to pick and packers to efficiently manage stock replenishment and organization.
- Order Fulfillment & Returns:
- Prepare shipment manifests and ensure the timely and accurate dispatch of all orders.
- Lead the preparation of bulk batches and set up pick and packers on auto bagging machines.
- Perform quality checks on packed inventory to maintain compliance with company standards.
- Handle daily returns processing.
- Wholesale Order Coordination:
- Ensure timely preparation and high-quality execution of wholesale orders, meeting specific customer requirements and standards.
- Liaison Between Teams:
- Act as the primary point of contact between the Fulfillment and Customer Experience (CX) teams.
- Address inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction.
- Operational Excellence:
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in fulfillment operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to company policies and safety guidelines.
Essential Competencies
- Leadership and Team Management: Strong ability to lead, train, and motivate teams to achieve operational goals.
- Operational Efficiency: Proven ability to pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct products and quantities for shipment.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent precision in reading, counting, and performing basic math calculations to maintain order accuracy.
- Inventory Control Expertise: Experience in monitoring stock levels, optimizing inventory utilization, and managing warehouse space effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using inventory management systems (e.g., ShipHero), workplace applications, and IT tools while adhering to safety protocols.
- Shift Flexibility: Comfortable working a 4x4 rotating shift pattern, including 12-hour shifts and weekly rotations between day and night shifts.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to ensure clear and effective information sharing across teams, both in French and English.
- Physical Endurance: Capability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as required by job duties.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Effective in identifying challenges and implementing solutions under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
