About the Role:

As a Stable Kernel Principal Software Engineer, you play an essential role in setting our portfolio of world-class clients up for success through the development and delivery of their most innovative, transformational initiatives. You will collaborate daily with other engineers and product team members, make decisions that influence the path of a product roadmap, leverage software development best practices, and become a more well-rounded engineer as you learn new technologies. Your knowledgeable practice, reliability, and consultative nature make you an engineer that stakeholders and teammates trust.

Principal Software Engineers may be classified as individual contributors or people managers with individual contributor responsibilities.

Intimate, Working Familiarity With:

• Deep understanding of iOS and Android architectures.
• Expertise in Xcode (iOS) and Android Studio/IntelliJ IDEA.
• Proficiency in languages like Swift (iOS), Kotlin/Java (Android), and other cross-platform frameworks like React Native.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines, specifically Github Actions and device farms such as SauceLabs/BrowserStack/AWS device farm/Kobiton, etc.
• Strong understanding of unit, integration and UI testing native frameworks, XCTest/XCUITest & Espresso/ComposeTestRule.
• Experience with test automation frameworks for mobile.
• Experience with mobile backend services such as gRPC, OpenAPI or  GraphQL
• Experience integrating mobile subscriptions via IAP.
• Experience and aptitude for using GenAI development tools and practices such as Cursor, Claude Code, Co-Pilot, etc.

General Requirements:

• 10+ years of development experience with an emphasis on native mobile development. 
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Nginx) and UI/UX design.
• Thorough understanding of architecture principles such as SOLID, MVVM, Coordinator Pattern, Clean/Onion & VIPER.
• Degree in Computer Science or relevant field or experience. 
• An eye for visual design and utility.

Nice to Haves:

• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) 
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. Java and Kotlin, Golang a plus) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, and Vue) 

 

A Bit More Info:

Minimum Base Compensation: $170,000

This is a full-time position.
