As the Leave & Benefits Lead, you will be responsible for managing and reviewing our global leave of absence and benefits programs. This includes company-wide group benefits plans (health, dental and welfare), global wellness programs, leave of absence, and time off policies. In this role, you’ll partner with global brokers and internal stakeholders across different functions to deliver a holistic benefits package aligned with our Total Rewards strategy.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Global Leave of Absence 

    • Own the end-to-end administration for all leave types across our global jurisdictions, including, but not limited to, medical, parental, personal, disability, and other protected leaves.
    • Act as the primary, confidential point of contact for employees and leaders, providing clear guidance and support throughout the entire leave lifecycle.
    • Manage the return-to-work process, including required documentation and collaboration on accommodation requests.
    • Ensure leave programs are administered consistently and in full compliance with regional legislation
    • Coordinate with the Payroll team to ensure seamless and accurate pay for employees on leave.
    • Collaborate and partner with our HR business partners on all leave of absence matters.

     

    Benefits Program Management: 

    • Your initial focus will be on the strategic management and administration of our Canadian benefits portfolio.
    • Manage full-cycle benefits administration, including vendor management, enrollment processes, and record maintenance
    • Oversee data integration and file management workflows in relevant systems (e.g. HRIS, and carrier systems) and complete audits as necessary to ensure data integrity
    • Facilitate annual renewal and open enrollment process through planning, implementation, and communication of all new benefit programs
    • Develop and deliver educational materials, presentations, and communication strategies to enhance employee understanding of benefit offerings
    • Provide support to employees on any benefits-related inquiries and resolve any case escalations with third-party service providers

     

    Process Improvement: 

    • Proactively analyze benefits and leave processes to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and an improved employee experience.
    • Lead process improvement projects from discovery and design through to implementation and change management.
    • Develop and maintain clear, accessible documentation for all benefits and leave-related workflows and policies.
    • Act as a key partner to the Senior Global Benefits Manager, supporting the global benefits renewal process and enhancing daily administrative functions.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with a specialized focus on benefits and leave of absence administration.
  • Deep expertise in Canadian benefits management, including plan design, renewals, and vendor relations.
  • Strong analytical skills (advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets) with the ability to interpret data and translate into actionable insights
  • Discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive information. 
  • Strong project management and process improvement skills
  • Experience managing benefits or leave in a multi-jurisdictional environment is considered an asset
 

The compensation range listed for this role reflects the expected base salary for candidates located in Ontario, Canada. It is informed by market data and the approved budget for this position. StackAdapt maintains different compensation ranges for roles across other countries and regions, and final offers will be aligned to the candidate’s current location.

This range represents base salary only. Depending on the role, candidates may also be eligible for additional compensation such as annual bonuses, commissions, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Factors Influencing Final Compensation:

  • The final compensation offer will be determined by a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to: the candidate's specific experience, technical skills, knowledge, abilities, and relevant education, licensure, and certifications.
  • Other business factors, such as organizational needs and budget alignment, may also be considered in the final offer.

Ontario Salary Band

$114,400 - $135,850 CAD
