Engineering at StackAdapt: 
As an Engineer at StackAdapt, you will be directly involved in the development of our advertising platform, producing production-level code that will have a direct impact on the success of our product. You will work with large data sets and have exposure to modern tech stacks around GoLang, Ruby on Rails, React, GraphQL and more. StackAdapt’s engineering organization believes in working collaboratively and cross-functionally. About the Team:
The Marketing Automation Team is an exciting new area for StackAdapt. The team is primarily responsible for building new MarTech channels from the ground up and integrating them with our award-winning advertisement platform, offering new marketing capabilities and endless end-to-end conversion opportunities. From building Email campaigns to challenging what is possible with innovative automation tools, you can expect to work on fun and challenging projects, as we expand our product offering to become a more full-service marketing technology company. 
 
StackAdapt is a Remote First company, we are open to candidates located anywhere in Canada for this position.
 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design, improve, and debug complex, scalable distributed systems.
  • Write extensible, scalable and test-driven code.
  • Take part in sprint planning and architectural decision-making.
  • Collaborate with team members on designing scalable, well tested, and well documented web architecture, including APIs and backend systems.
  • As an engineer, you are expected to take responsibility and ownership of projects from start to finish.
  • Contribute to code reviews and technical spec reviews.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • 2+ years of full-time work experience building highly performant web applications.
  • Previous engineering experience working in marketing technology and CDP is required. 
  • Knowledge of React and Javascript/Typescript.
  • Knowledge of Redux, Ruby on Rails and GraphQL is highly preferred. 
  • Experience with implementing a client-facing project end-to-end, from design to delivery.
  • Experience collaborating closely with product and design teams to design, implement and iterate on high impact end-to-end product experiences.
