About the Role:
Responsible for designing, implementing, and testing significant components for an autonomous vehicle. This includes writing design documents,soliciting and responding to feedback on those design documents, implementing, testing,
going through code reviews, and responding to bug reports after the component has landed. The employee is also responsible for reviewing other employees; code and interviewing candidates for their own and other teams. Additionally, the employee will mentor junior engineers, provide feedback and input to technical roadmaps and guide the implementation of cross-functional projects, working closely with Integration, Testing and other Engineering teams. Domestic travel required, 25%. Telecommuting permissible from any location within the US.
Requirements:
Master’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Physics or related field and two (2) years of experience in Computer science and prior experience with Autonomous Vehicles.
Skills:
Experience and/or education must include...
- Writing software such as C++ for safety critical, real-time applications
- Writing Python tools to support scripting and data analysis
- Implementing and designing Motion/Behavior Planning solutions for Autonomous Vehicles;
- Experience with software development on large teams; familiarity with version control tools (git), unit test frameworks (gtest or catch2), continuous integration tools and how those are leveraged in typical software development lifecycle
- Experience designing and implementing unit, component, integration and regression tests
- Experience leading cross-functional software projects for Autonomous Vehicles
Salary: $185,400 - $296,640/year; 40 hours/week
Location: 1001 Technology Drive, Mount Pleasant, PA 15666. Telecommuting permissible from any location within US.
