About the Role:
The Recruiting team at Stack AV is responsible for building the workforce that powers autonomous trucking. From the engineers developing cutting-edge autonomy systems to the professional drivers operating our development fleet and the mission control specialists ensuring every mile is driven safely and efficiently.
The Staff Operations Recruiter will lead full-cycle recruiting for Stack AV’s growing operations teams, ensuring the company hires top talent that embodies its commitment to safety, reliability, and innovation. This role partners closely with leadership to define hiring strategies, enhance recruiting processes, and deliver a best-in-class candidate experience that reflects the future of autonomous logistics. As part of a lean and collaborative team, this recruiter will also support hiring across other functions whenever the business needs extra hands or specialized sourcing expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle recruiting for key operations roles, including truck drivers, fleet monitoring specialists, and other mission-critical positions that support autonomous fleet testing and deployment.
- Partner with leaders across operations, product development, and G&A to forecast workforce needs and design scalable hiring strategies that align with company growth.
- Build and maintain pipelines of high-quality candidates through proactive sourcing, networking, and relationship-building in relevant markets and communities.
- Deliver a structured, transparent interview process that assesses technical capability, safety mindset, and alignment with Stack AV’s values.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to create clear role profiles, interview plans, and selection criteria that reflect business goals and performance expectations.
- Support recruiting efforts across multiple disciplines as business priorities evolve.
- Use data and recruiting metrics to monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and continuously improve efficiency and candidate quality.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other recruiters, sharing best practices and helping to strengthen the overall recruiting function.
- Represent Stack AV with professionalism and enthusiasm, ensuring every candidate interaction reflects the company’s mission and commitment to safety, innovation, and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of eight years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including at least three years focused on operations, logistics, or transportation hiring.
- Proven success recruiting for high-volume and geographically distributed roles such as CDL drivers, dispatchers, or fleet operations specialists.
- Experience supporting a range of disciplines, including technical, G&A, or emerging roles where business needs shift quickly.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organized and data-driven approach with a focus on metrics that improve hiring speed, quality, and candidate experience.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems such as Greenhouse and sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments while maintaining a focus on quality and process.
