🚀 About Us

We’re Bolt.new by StackBlitz!

We’re the team that brought you WebContainers, the first-of-its-kind technology that made it possible to run Node.js right inside your browser. That breakthrough kicked off our journey in 2019, and it’s what powers the blazing-fast online IDE used by over 1 million developers every month.

But we didn’t stop there. We doubled down on everything we learned and built Bolt.new — the fastest way to go from idea to production without writing traditional code. It’s a next-gen, AI-powered app builder that helps you create, edit, and deploy full-stack web and mobile apps instantly, right in your browser. No installs. No setup. Just smart automation and instant dev environments that let you move at the speed of thought.

We’re a fully remote team, globally distributed, deeply collaborative, and seriously passionate about building the future of software development.

This is your chance to join a small team with a big vision. If you love shipping fast, solving real problems, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, we’d love to meet you.

✨ About This Opportunity

It’s an exciting time to join the Bolt design team. The company is in its hyper-growth phase, and design has a major role to play in taking Bolt.new to the next level, not just in look and feel, but in product quality, building the iconic product experiences this AI moment calls for.

We’re building an elite team, and we’re growing. You’ll get hands-on experience leading design on everything from the smallest details to the biggest bets. We have plenty of ambiguous problems to solve and we move fast. We’re looking for bold thinkers, sharp problem-solvers, and hungry builders. Expectations are high, and so are the impacts.

As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll lead design for new zero-to-one product experiences in untapped territory. You’re comfortable with the discomfort of not knowing, and energized by challenging how things have always been done, coming up with solutions that don’t just improve, but evolve, how individuals and teams use AI. You’re someone who can fly at 1,000 feet and 3 inches above the ground at the same time: someone who can drive strategy using a designer’s superpower, while still obsessing over the details that actually make a difference.

🛠️ How You'll Contribute

  • Understand your customers: Are they asking for a faster horse, or a car? Work with cross-functional partners to identify and prioritize the user problems worth solving, not just the ones people have today, but the ones that will make their lives easier tomorrow. Think big!
  • Own projects end to end: From partnering with product on problem definition, through divergent and convergent design thinking, to tangible designs (in Figma or with AI tools), design QA, and quality control.
  • Set the vision for what future Bolt looks like: We’re in a fast-evolving industry, and we need to think fast and act boldly, not follow trends, but define how teams use AI to build great products. Use tangible designs to drive product directions. After all, designers have the superpower to turn abstract ideas into something people can see and react to.
  • Raise the quality bar on all things design: Typography, spacing, motion, and visual consistency. Build and improve our design systems to result in higher-quality product launches across a growing product line.

đź’ˇ Qualifications

  • A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional crafts
  • A track record of shipping pixel-perfect work at scale in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort operating in ambiguous, zero-to-one environments while holding a high craft bar under deadline pressure
  • Fluency in design systems, and the discipline to build for consistency across a growing platform
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering to protect visual fidelity through implementation
  • You’re already using AI to tackle personal and professional challenges
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills are required, as this role involves frequent collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and customers where English is the primary working language.

🎯 Bonus Points

  • Startup or small team experience. You are not just one of many!
  • Experience in shaping AI tools

📌 A Few Notes

  • You do not need a college degree to apply

  • You do not need to be located in the U.S. — we’re remote-friendly

  • You do not need to meet every qualification listed above

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
