Software Research Analyst

About the Role

Stacksphere is on a mission to empower businesses with insights they can trust to make informed purchase decisions.  This role will be responsible for researching software on behalf of our consumers, developing a deep understanding of the products and services available, conducting expert interviews and surveys to gain invaluable user insights, and ultimately producing high-quality content that helps our consumers make the best software choice for their business needs. The ideal candidate will have strong problem solving skills and can bring a highly analytical approach to their work. 

The role is based in Charlotte, NC with a hybrid office requirement (3 days per week in our South Park office, 2 days remote).

Your Day-to-Day

  • Conduct in-depth research on B2B software and services across various categories, such as CRM, HR systems, project management tools, and accounting software.
  • Synthesize complex research data into clear, concise, and engaging written content, including articles, guides, whitepapers, and product reviews.
  • Deeply analyze existing competitor content and market trend data to develop content that creates unique value for readers.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, industry professionals, and internal stakeholders to gather insights and validate findings, including creating and executing surveys.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, well-researched, and aligned with our brand voice, style guidelines, and SEO best practices.
  • Monitor content performance metrics and user feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a quantitative track (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Economics, Marketing, etc.).
  • Proven expertise with 2+ years experience conducting data analysis, research, or similar. 
  • Interest in transforming great research into great content (articles, whitepapers, etc.) required; experience in this function is helpful, not mandatory.
  • Experience in the software industry is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize complex information from multiple sources and primary research. 
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience converting qualitative and quantitative data and insights in a clear and engaging way for different audiences, including creating visuals (charts, graphs, etc.).  
  • Problem solving and agility. You thrive in an environment where there is no playbook for success. You can adapt to different tasks and shift priorities as needed.
