About the Head of Sales Position

As the Stairwell Head of Sales, you will be responsible for leading and driving revenue growth at Stairwell. Leading a team of 6 (2 Sales Reps, 2 Inside Sales Reps, and 2 Sales Engineers), you will be a hands-on leader who builds processes, optimizes team performance, and establishes a culture of high achievement.

Head of Sales Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Execute the sales strategy to achieve revenue growth targets.
  • Work closely with the CEO and leadership team to align sales strategies with objectives.

Team Management

  • Hire, develop, and mentor sales reps, inside sales reps, and sales engineers.
  • Create a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on accountability and results.
  • Implement sales training to upskill the team on technical knowledge and closing strategies.

Pipeline & Revenue Management

  • Own the sales pipeline from lead generation to close.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to track team performance and forecast revenue.
  • Drive disciplined pipeline management, ensuring timely follow-ups and deal progression.

Process Optimization

  • Refine the sales process and implement best practices to improve conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with marketing to optimize lead generation and qualification processes.
  • Leverage Salesforce to manage data and analytics.

Partners

  • Experience working with partners and familiarity with channel programs

Customer Focus

  • Act as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers, understanding their cybersecurity challenges.
  • Partner with product and customer success teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer feedback to inform GTM strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within the customer base.

Head of Sales Qualifications

Experience

  • 8+ years of sales experience with 2+ years in a leadership role in cybersecurity.
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets in a high-growth environment.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise sales cycles in cybersecurity

Skills

  • Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Strong understanding of the cybersecurity landscape and technical sales processes.
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making and sales optimization.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Salesforce

Preferred

  • Experience scaling a sales organization from $1M ARR to $10M+.
  • Strong network within the cybersecurity or technology industry.

Additional Information: Salary of $350-400k total comp.
