Head of Product
Stairwell is redefining how defenders find and understand threats, not by scaling alerts, but by changing the mindset: from logs to files, from data to knowledge, from reaction to certainty.
We’re building a platform that continuously analyzes every executable, across all time, to detect threats others miss… even the unknown. We’ve built the infrastructure to support that vision. Now we need a Head of Product who can define product strategy to match where the market is at. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows the security landscape - users, vendors and service providers - inside and out, knows how to incorporate the voice of the customer into product plans, and can drive sharp, confident decision-making across complexity. You’ll work directly with the CTO, Engineering, Product Marketing, and Sales Engineering to build what matters and make sure the world knows why it matters.
What You’ll Own
Strategy & Roadmap
- Own the roadmap across the core platform, workflows, integrations, and GTM enablement.
- Balance short-term product acceleration with long-term vision and defensibility. ● Drive alignment across functions. Make sure every team knows what we’re building, why, and how it moves the mission forward.
Customer & Market Insight
- Build tight feedback loops with customers, Sales Engineering, Marketing, and Support. ● Extract signal from customer asks, field noise, and roadmap chaos and turn it into clear priorities.
- Serve as the internal voice of the market. Help the team understand the “why,” not just the “what.”
Execution & Alignment
- Work closely with Engineering to scope, prioritize, and ship.
- Partner with Threat Research to translate detection logic, variant discovery, and adversary behaviors into high-leverage product bets.
- Work with Product Marketing to position what we build in a way that resonates with users, buyers, and analysts.
Category Thinking
- Represent the product externally with customers, partners, and analysts. Talk about it like a builder, not a buzzword machine.
- Help shape and sharpen how we define the category and how we win it.
What You Bring
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of product management experience, including at least 3+ in security or infrastructure-focused products.
- Deep understanding of the modern detection and response ecosystem including TIPs, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, malware analysis, and how teams actually operate.
- You’ve owned roadmap and strategy before, not just scoped tickets. You’ve shipped products and driven impact.
- Strong communicator - structured, sharp, and credible with both engineers and executives.
- Ability to move fast. You’re expected to arrive with a working model of the market, not spend two months getting up to speed.
Preferred Experience
- Hands-on experience with malware analysis workflows, detection engineering, or SOC tooling.
- Background in product marketing, analyst relations, or category positioning is a plus. ● Familiarity with how threat intel, IR, and SOC workflows intersect — and how to simplify them with software.
- Experience with API platforms, integrations, or infrastructure products aimed at highly technical users.
- Bonus points if you understand how SIGINT-style systems work - data collection, storage, and continuous analysis at scale. That mindset fits naturally with how we think.
Team & Culture
- You’ll join a senior team that cares deeply about building the right thing, not just shipping more things.
- We expect clarity, speed, and impact. No hand-holding. No ego.
- We love process that accelerates outcomes, not the kind that pads calendars and checks boxes.
- We’re not looking for a project manager in disguise. We’re looking for a strategic thinker who sees the whole system: user pain, detection complexity, market timing, and platform leverage.
- You’ll work closely with leaders across Engineering, Threat Research, and Go-to-Market to make smart bets and ship them.
Why Stairwell
- You’ll shape the future of a platform that’s years ahead of the market — and just getting started.
- You’ll help define a new category, grounded in technical credibility, not empty marketing. ● You’ll work with a small, sharp team that values depth, urgency, and real outcomes. ● Most PMs inherit narrow products and slow teams. Here, you get scope, speed, and the chance to reset the industry’s expectations.
- We’re redefining how detection teams work, not just by replacing tools, but by collapsing the silos between threat intel, IR, and the SOC itself. Stairwell gives defenders what legacy models never could: time, evidence, and clarity.
If you’ve led high-context products before and you're ready to move fast, own the roadmap, and shape how a whole industry thinks about detection… let’s talk.
