JOB TITLE & DESCRIPTION:
LOCATION OF WORK & TRAVEL:
New York, NY, with occasional travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with hiring managers to understand technical staffing needs, including roles in engineering, nuclear science, software development, and operations.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates with specialized technical skills, leveraging job boards, social media, networking, and industry-specific channels.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.
- Coordinate and attend hiring events, career fairs, and industry conferences to promote Standard Nuclear’s opportunities and brand (travel required).
- Conduct on-site collaboration with the Oak Ridge, TN team to align recruitment strategies with operational goals (occasional travel).
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting and candidate outreach to offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS), specifically Greenhouse, to track candidate progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Stay informed on industry trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor hiring practices to ensure Standard Nuclear remains competitive in the talent market.
- Foster a positive candidate experience, reflecting Standard Nuclear’s values of innovation, integrity, and excellence.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of technical recruiting experience, preferably in engineering, energy, or technology sectors.
- Proven ability to source and engage passive candidates with specialized skill sets (e.g., nuclear engineering, mechanical engineering, software development).
- Hands-on experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS), with specific expertise in Greenhouse required.
- Experience with recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, or similar platforms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and internal teams.
- Willingness to travel as needed to hiring events and the Oak Ridge, TN office (approximately 10% travel).
- Familiarity with the energy or nuclear industry is a plus but not required.
- Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Demonstrated success in meeting hiring goals and delivering high-quality candidate experiences.
