Position Overview
We are seeking an organized and proactive Senior Manager of Workplace Operations to oversee the management of office spaces, including facilities, space planning, and office expansion. The role involves managing existing and new spaces, serving as the main point of contact for building security, and collaborating with landlords, contractors, and vendors for smooth operations.
The Senior Manager will distill input from stakeholders to shape long-term solutions, lead complex initiatives, and drive impact across multiple teams. They will strategically allocate resources, eliminate bottlenecks, and establish scalable best practices. This role requires the ability to navigate trade-offs between opportunity, resources, and sustainability while influencing teams to achieve success.
This is full-time position, residing in Seattle and being onsite is required for this position.
What You'll Do
- Space Planning & Expansion: Manage the planning, organization, and optimization of office and lab space. Work with leadership to identify needs for office expansion, layout modifications, and space utilization improvements.
- Office & Facilities Project Management: Oversee daily operations of the office environment, including managing vendors who support office maintenance, and functionality of office facilities. Ensure all equipment, systems, and amenities are well-maintained and operational.
- Employee Experience: Represent our brand by enabling a productive and positive employee environment and experience. Serve as the main point of contact for employees regarding workplace services, addressing any concerns or issues related to a collaborative office environment.
- Business Partnership: Partner with the executive office team to ensure alignment with leaders globally. Develop close partnerships with key leaders in finance, security and HR.
- Building & Security Coordination: Serve as the first point of contact for building management, security personnel, and building-related issues. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building protocols.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Act as a liaison with landlords, contractors, and service providers. Manage contracts, coordinate maintenance and service requests, and ensure timely completion of any work or repairs.
- Meeting & Event Coordination: Coordinate logistics for internal and external all employee company meetings and events, including room setup, A/V equipment, catering, and special requests.
- Budget Management: Assist in managing the workplace operations budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions for office services, supplies, and space management.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the workplace complies with all health and safety regulations, including managing emergency protocols, safety training, and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in workplace operations, office management, or facilities management with 3+ years of people leadership experience.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to lead project teams with key stakeholders, internal team members, and vendor partners.
- Industry experience, knowledge, and an understanding of best practices in the area of space planning, facilities management, and office ergonomics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent issues in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with building operations, contracts, and vendor management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, and experience with facilities management software is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, stand, and lift objects as needed in the course of facilities management duties.
- Occasional travel between office locations may be required
The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
Salary Range
$135,000 - $155,000 USD
