Position Overview:

The Commercial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting our Brand’s commercial performance by delivering data-driven insights across product lines, retail channels, geographies, and consumer segments. This role partners closely with the Commercial Team to monitor product and sales channel health, identify segmentation opportunities, and surface strategic recommendations aligned to our go-to-market calendar. With a mindset of continuous improvement, this role also gathers feedback from stakeholders within the Business Analytics, Commercial, and Sales organizations as well as across the entire organization to identify new analytical opportunities and data needs, improve reporting clarity, and help evolve the analytical outputs of the entire team.

Ultimately, the Commercial Analyst is a strong cross-functional partner between the Business Analytics and Commercial Teams to ensure the Stanley Brand is well armed with strong commercial product insights and analysis that drives confident, strategic decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Examine product performance across retail channels and customer priorities to assess product performance across retail markets.
  • Analyze product line demand forecast, inventory positions, and consumer engagement trends to provide informed recommendations for product opportunities or risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial, sales, finance, and supply chain teams to provide actionable insights that drive collaborative demand planning.
  • Collaborate with the data visualization team to develop insightful reports and dashboards that communicate findings effectively.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis to support marketing, sales, and product development initiatives.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by validating sources and methodologies.
  • Stay informed about industry developments and emerging data analysis techniques to continuously enhance analytical capabilities.

Who You Are

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in product category, merchandising, or commercial segmentation analysis.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear, actionable manner to cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar analytical role within the consumer products or retail industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, demand forecasting, commercial/merchandising planning.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and forecasting models.
  • Understanding of the consumer products and retail market dynamics is a strong advantage

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.

Salary Range

$85,000 - $105,000 USD
