Position Overview
The Sr. Director, North America Commercial, is a key leader responsible for setting the strategic vision and driving ground-breaking growth across the region. This role oversees product segmentation, channel differentiation, and profitable expansion, ensuring alignment with Stanley 1913’s long-term objectives. The Senior Director leads cross-functional teams, influences enterprise-wide initiatives, and is accountable for delivering market-leading results in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
What You'll Do
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Develops and communicates a compelling commercial strategy for North America, aligning product segmentation and channel differentiation with Stanley’s global vision and growth objectives.
- Leads the annual revenue and brand planning process, setting ambitious targets and ensuring cross-functional alignment across product, sales, marketing, and supply chain teams.
- Champions a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence, raising performance standards and inspiring teams to achieve breakthrough results.
Business Growth & Market Expansion
- Discovers new market opportunities, using market and consumer insights to develop channel and product strategies for revenue growth.
- Coordinates the development and execution of differentiated product assortments and channel strategies, ensuring competitive positioning and sustainable profitability.
- Directs the integration of market research, customer feedback, and industry trends into actionable business plans that improve brand presence and market share.
Cross-Functional & Executive Collaboration
- Leads, mentors, and develops high-performing teams, fostering talent and building leadership capabilities across the commercial organization.
- Collaborates with executive leadership and global partners to influence enterprise-wide decisions, ensuring North America’s strategies are integrated with broader company goals.
- Engage with key external partners, customers, and industry leaders to strengthen relationships and identify strategic alliances that accelerate growth.
Financial & Operational Oversight
- Establishes and monitors key performance indicators, using sophisticated analytics and market intelligence to inform decision-making and course correct as needed.
- Ensures compliance with financial, regulatory, and corporate governance standards, mitigating risks and safeguarding the company’s reputation.
Change Management & Transformation
- Drives organizational change initiatives, championing new processes, technologies, and business models that position Stanley as a market leader.
- Drives the use of standard methodologies in channel management, pricing, and merchandising to guarantee Stanley's flexibility and adaptability to market dynamics.
- Acts as a steward of Stanley’s brand and values, ensuring all commercial activities reinforce the company’s reputation for quality, integrity, and innovation.
Who You Are
- Proven experience in senior commercial leadership roles, ideally overseeing multiple departments or business units within a consumer products or manufacturing environment.
- 15+ years of experience with a CPG, B2B, or durable company in sales, sales management, commercial management, trade management, channel management, e-commerce, and brand development.
- Proven success in developing and implementing growth strategies and delivering measurable business results.
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building and encouraging high-performing, cross-functional teams.
- Deep expertise in channel management, market strategy, and financial oversight, with the ability to navigate sophisticated, matrixed organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
Salary Range
$200,000 - $225,000 USD
