Position Overview  

Stanley 1913 is seeking a Director of Retail Brand Experience to strengthen our brand presence and lead the development of impactful consumer experiences across retail environments in North America. This role is responsible for translating Stanley’s core values into thoughtful, well-executed experiences across direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels and key retail touchpoints. The ideal candidate combines strong brand sensibility with commercial insight and has a track record of delivering high-quality, consistent consumer experiences that support both brand and business objectives.  

What You’ll Do 

  • Design scalable in-store experiences, merchandising strategies, and seasonal campaigns that emotionally connect with consumers while supporting sell-through goals.  
  • Develop complete toolkits for retail partners that include visual merchandising mentorship, brand storytelling assets, and turnkey activation plans.  
  • Partner with creative and brand to bring seasonal narratives to life in physical retail environments.  
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to align North American retail execution with broader brand initiatives.  
  • Act as a key liaison across creative, sales, brand marketing, and retail teams to ensure integrated planning and consistent execution.  
  • Lead agency and partner relationships to deliver high-quality, on-brand creative across retail formats.  
  • Work cross-functionally with product, digital, and field marketing teams to support seamless go-to-market strategies.  
  • Craft shopper insights, retail analytics, and competitive audits to craft strategy and improve the in-store consumer journey.  
  • Track and report on retail performance metrics including foot traffic, dwell time, engagement levels, and return on investment for key activations.  

Who You Are 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field required; MBA or design-related certification a plus.  
  • 10+ years of experience in Global brand marketing, retail experience, or experiential marketing, preferably with lifestyle, premium consumer, or CPG brands.  
  • Proven track record of leading in-store and retail brand activations across North America and Global preferred.  
  • Experience running agency relationships, creative development, and toolkit execution.  
  • Deep understanding of Global retail environments including DTC, specialty, wholesale, and mass retail.  
  • A strong aesthetic eye and understanding of consumer culture and retail trends.  
  • Confidence in leading teams and projects from concept through execution.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.

Salary Range

$160,000 - $185,000 USD
