Position Overview: 

The Director of Operations and Strategy is a key leadership role at Stanley 1913, responsible for driving operational excellence and critical initiatives across the Technology organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), this role serves as a critical partner in translating vision into execution, aligning cross-functional priorities, and ensuring that technology resources, processes, and investments support the broader business goals. 

The Director will lead all aspects of planning, measuring performance, ensuring organizational efficiency, and governing operations within the Technology organization. Seeking a leader excelling in goal achievement and cultural and organizational transformation, with tech organization knowledge and impactful project leadership, and a high degree of accountability and integrity. 

What You'll Do:

Planning and Implementing Strategies

  • Lead the development and execution of Stanley 1913’s 3–5-year Technology strategic roadmap, aligning technology investments with business goals.
  • Identify and prioritize key initiatives passionate about revenue growth, operational excellence, and market expansion. 
  • Develop frameworks to assess new opportunities, including partnerships, M&A activity, and geographic market entries (e.g., India, Japan, Korea, LATAM). 

Technology and Digital Transformation

  • Coordinate the digital transformation strategy, driving integration across platforms like Shopify, Blue Yonder, Oracle ERP, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Centric PLM.
  • Collaborate with IT and business collaborators to ensure technology adoption aligns with business outcomes and customer expectations.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI/ML solutions, to improve customer experience, predictive analytics, and demand forecasting.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the CIO, providing insights on investment priorities, technology roadmaps, and growth initiatives. 

Data-Driven Insights and Decision Making

  • Apply data analytics and insights from the Azure Fabric data lake to guide strategic decisions across sales, marketing, and supply chain functions.
  • Establish key indicators and objectives and key results to measure progress against strategic goals and ensure accountability across teams. 

Business Model Innovation

  • Drive initiatives to strengthen omnichannel capabilities, ensuring seamless integration between wholesale, retail, and DTC channels.
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to optimize pricing strategies, improve customer segmentation, and increase DTC conversion rates.
  • Explore innovative revenue streams and distribution models tailored to global markets. 

Operational Efficiency

  • Find opportunities to optimize operational costs across supply chain, logistics, and third-party partnerships.
  • Lead programs aimed at improving speed-to-market, reducing labor costs, and improving overall efficiency. 

Who You Are: 

  • Proven track record of driving technology and operational transformation in large, complex organizations.
  • 5+ years of enterprise level experience in strategy, operations, or finance is strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise-scale business, project management, corporate strategy, finance strategy, business development, business operations, or similar roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or similar or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
  • Proficiency in developing and driving long-term strategic roadmaps with measurable outcomes.
  • Solid experience managing multi-million-dollar portfolios.
  • Familiarity with technology platforms and systems including Salesforce, ERP (Oracle or SAP), Order Management System (e.g. Blue Yonder) and data lake architectures (e.g., Azure Fabric).
  • Deep experience in Agile Transformation, PMO governance, and portfolio labor strategy.
  • Experience successfully coordinating multi-functional groups and fostering cooperation among technical and business collaborators at multiple levels, including individual contributors, managers, and executive leadership.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with experience presenting to executive teams, boards, and external collaborators.
  • Experience leading initiatives in eCommerce, omnichannel retail, and global market expansion.
  • Exposure to AI/ML deployment in enterprise environments for predictive analytics, customer segmentation, and demand forecasting.
  • Experience with M&A integration strategies and post-acquisition operational harmonization.
  • Background in cultural and operational transformation across the organization.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.

Salary Range

$175,000 - $200,000 USD
