Position Overview

As a Senior Manager, Commercial at Stanley 1913, you will have the outstanding opportunity to drive sales, revenue growth, and market share within the North American Market. Joining our collaborative and cross-functional team, you will work closely with marketing, sales, product, planning, operations, visual merchandising, analytics, and finance to achieve our ambitious business objectives. What You'll Do

  • Lead the creation, implementation, and management of the regional omnichannel strategy to support long-term and current business goals set by senior management.
  • Construct and lead the category strategy in the North American Marketplace, positioning Stanley as a leading lifestyle brand across all distribution channels.
  • Conduct a comprehensive regional and seasonal analysis to advise the global briefing process, incorporating competitive market shopping, online research, store visits, and trade publication reviews.
  • Collaborate with global product teams to plan and build innovative, commercially driven regional assortments tailored for specific target consumers.
  • Become the go-to expert for the North American category strategy, providing valuable insights and guidance.
  • Deliver regional assortments that drive revenue and meet targets for MSRP, margin, profitability, and efficiency.
  • Develop strategic and actionable franchise management plans to support channel segmentation, allocation, and distribution strategies.
  • Build and manage the regional category pricing strategy, ensuring margin gross margin targets are achieved for the seasonal line.
  • Work cross-functionally throughout the annual/seasonal product process to develop a cohesive, cross-merchandised line with compelling global and regional stories each season.
  • Collaborate with management to develop a distinctive, effective, and brand-appropriate distribution merchandising strategy for each channel.
  • Manage and monitor new product introductions and carryover products, ensuring impactful launches and lifecycle management in the market. Continuously strive for SKU efficiency, improved margins, and global assortment alignment.
  • Support the finance and planning department by providing product, unit, and margin forecasts and analysis by season, category, gender, and style. Contribute to the development of the long-range plan (LRP) and annual budget.
  • Act as a product advocate, representing Stanley during pre-launch events, sales meetings, important client interactions, and other relevant internal and external occasions as required.
  • Collaborate with regional sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market tools and strategic merchandising plans for key wholesale accounts.

Who You Are

  • 6+ years of dynamic experience in a commercial or merchandising management setting.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or those with equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in leading and building out marketplace management strategies, including segmentation, allocation, franchise management, and curated distribution plans for categories.
  • Ability to deliver the art and science of merchandising, combining product assortment and analytics. Strong skills in managing and mentoring a team.
  • Problem-solving approach: Capacity to assess and interpret extensive data sets to pinpoint issues or potential prospects and propose effective courses of action.
  • Excellent relationship and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as external customers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to clearly present information to large groups both internally and externally.
  • Outstanding time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and deliver key responsibilities on time.
  • In-depth knowledge of global and regional performance and style trends, with the ability to translate them into commercial concepts.
  • Passionate about achieving objectives by striking a balance between long-term goals and immediate performance.
  • Ability to lead and influence people in support of overarching business and category goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Willingness to travel domestically as required.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.

Salary Range

$130,000 - $160,000 USD
