Position Overview: 

 

Merchandise Sourcing Specialist (MSS) is responsible for the daily communication and operation between Stanley and related factory vendors. As the window of communication between Stanley and the related factory, on one hand, MSS need to accurately and effectively follow up orders, samples, invoices and other related work. On the other hand, MSS need to assist MSL to elevate factory performance, timely solve the problems of the factory production, and help factory reach Stanley requirements for production.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Production management
  • Execute Stanley factory strategy & supplier sourcing strategy for new category & new material on sourcing business practice.
  • Execute sourcing tactics of varying complexity in accordance with established category strategies reflecting the optimum cost, quality, delivery.
  • Initiate and execute the supplier capability matrix and category business allocation plan with approval from MSM & MSL.
  • Follow the orders within production lead time, manage orders creation in EBS, accurately and timely release the production information to vendor factory. Follow up the implementation of orders, ensure on time order delivery in accordance with Stanley quality standards.
  • Vendor factory invoice check, sample list track, item setup management.
  • Assist MSL to follow up the progress of project, and related work. Timely update the system data, report to MSL.
  • Assist MSL to manage factory performance KPI and follow up CAP in daily execution.
  • Know well about the vendor production condition, raise solution promptly to emergency events, report unsolved issue to MSL, effective communication with the factory.
  • Preparation of weekly report and monthly report.
  • File management (paper file and e – copy).
  • Cost management
  • Create and maintain category cost structure model.
  • Look for additional cost reduction opportunity and work with factory and internal team to setup/implement cost saving plan.
  • Update correct price into system accurately and timely.
  • Assist MSL to analysis and manage factory cost.
  • Assist MSL to handle customer claim.
  • Work close with Finance team to arrange factory payment timely
  • Process improvement
  • Implement the existing Stanley processes with factory and creatively adjust process with factory to improve working efficiency.
  • Assist MSL to upgrade daily operation process to improve working efficiency.
  • Participate companywide Continue Improve program to support process adjustment.

 

Skills and Experience: 

  • Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical ability with active listening skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills ; able to speak Chinese Reflect a professional image in writing, face to face or by telephone for information exchanges.
  • Solid computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint. The knowledge of EBS is plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
  • Ability to study and apply new information.
  • Willing work under pressure and able to travel on request.

 

Education and Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or Foreign Trade, or equivalent related experience.
  • Above Five (5) years of relevant experience.
