St. Anne’s-Belfield School seeks a part-time teacher for our English language learners for the 2025-2026 academic year. This is a 10 month, part-time position beginning August 18. Hours: 3-5 per week when school is in session plus some evenings; exact days to be determined. This role relies on someone who collaborates effectively with members of the Upper School Humanities Department and the Director of Residential Life. A successful teacher in this position has the capacity to grow the language skills of our international students in grades 9-11 for whom English is not their first language, and help them achieve success in their mainstream classes.
Classroom teaching, expertise with differentiation, being student-centered and highly relational, and the ability to joyfully teach adolescents from around the globe are required. Ideal candidates will have worked with high school-aged students, be familiar with TOEFL and Duolingo English language assessments, and hold a master's degree in English, teaching English language learners, or a related field.
