St. Anne’s-Belfield School seeks a part-time After School K-4 Care Assistant for our Saints After School program for the 2025-2026 school year starting August 11, 2025.

Essential Duties

  • Supervises and engages with children's play and projects
  • Assists in group activities and transitions
  • Prepares needed materials and supplies
  • Observes playground and other activities to ensure safety at all times
  • Prepares classroom and snack materials
  • Maintains a neat and organized classroom and play area
  • Assist in safe arrival and dismissal of students in the program
  • Reports to director any problem which may occur with the children
  • Circulates amongst group of students to build relationships with variety of children
  • Supports during employee childcare on teacher workdays throughout the year and at start/end of academic year.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ensuring all classroom and playground areas are neat and organized
  • Displaying a warm, positive attitude in interactions with children and fellow teachers
  • Promoting and maintaining a safe, positive, and healthy social atmosphere for students
  • Observing, recording and reporting on the behavior of individual children as required
  • Supervising multiple children at a time and managing minor behavioral incidents as needed
  • Displaying careful attention to childrens' needs
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Education: High school degree required.

Experience: One year of previous professional childcare experience preferred.

Special Requirements: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
