Who You’ll Work With
Pre-fab Manager, Pre-Fab Foreman
About the Position
The Pre-Fab Tech II works out of Stansell Electric’s Nashville office, assisting in all aspects of pre-fabrication, including assembly, kitting, fabricating, packing, and handling of various materials to be sent to a job site. The Pre-Fab Tech II must show organization skills and communication skills commensurate to the satisfactory completion of position’s primary duties and responsibilities. Advancement opportunities are available by advancing to more senior positions or through transfer to skilled trades.
How You’ll Make a Difference
- Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment at all times
- Ability to use hand tools on a regular basis, including but not limited to: screw drivers, wrenches, pliers, etc..
- Ability to use power tools such as drills.
- Willingness and ability to learn how to operate plasma cutter and learn minor welding tasks
- Manage work area cleanliness and organization to maximize efficiency and minimize any workplace hazards or injury.
- Work in a team environment and communicate with Pre-Fab Foreman the status of pending tasks.
- Complete tasks unsupervised in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage quality control standards as set by supervision, and guide Pre-Fab Tech 1’s on quality control standards.
Smarts, Skills. And Physical Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Possession of good hearing and vision, normal or corrected.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
Education
- High school diploma preferred
Experience
Experience in an entry level role – assembly or trade experience preferred
