IT Director/ IT Department
About the Position
The IT support admin works out of Stansell Electric’s Nashville office, assisting in all aspects of creating value for the company through the support of all Stansell computer users, maintaining all desktop, server, and network equipment, and maintaining maximum uptime for all computing resources. The IT Support admin must show extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies. Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advancement opportunities are available by advancing to more senior positions or through transfer to skilled trades.
How You’ll Make a Difference
- Basic User Setup & Support
- Tier 1 support for all end users
- Builds and maintains all PC s for new employees
- Builds new AD user accounts and Exchange mailboxes
- Quickly and effectively resolves all issues for company employees and equipment
- Active Directory & User Profiles
- Keeps AD Users & Computers clean; removes old user and computer accounts
- Applies users to security groups as established for end user access according to position
- Maintains and Tracks Software
- Maintains all software at the client computer
- Tracks quantities and movement of software and reports these to IT Director when necessary
- Maintains and Tracks Hardware
- Maintains all client hardware including but not limited to desktops, scanners, printers, phones, etc.
- Tracks quantities and movement of hardware and reports these to IT Director when necessary
- Maintains and Tracks Mobile Devices
- Maintains all Mobile Devices
- Basic Server Maintenance
- Maintains all servers under the guidance of the IT Director
- Maintains and installs all critical and security software updates from Microsoft and other software manufacturers.
- Works on other servers as necessary
- Maintains proper stock
- Maintains miscellaneous equipment
- Training
- Trains field foremen on proper use and care of laptops
- Helps IT Director train on new procedures
Smarts, Skills. And Physical Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Possession of good hearing and vision, normal or corrected.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related job experience.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
