Partner Solution Architect – Dell

About the role

The Starburst Partner Solution Architect – Dell Alliance is a trusted technical advisor responsible for enabling, growing, and scaling Starburst’s strategic partnership with Dell Technologies. In this highly technical, partner-facing role, you will work closely with Dell technical teams, alliance stakeholders, and field sellers to design, validate, and deliver joint solutions that showcase the combined value of Starburst and the Dell technology portfolio.

You will play a critical role in driving technical alignment across Dell infrastructure, data, and analytics platforms (e.g., PowerScale, ECS, ObjectScale, Dell APEX, on-prem and hybrid architectures), supporting co-selling motions, and accelerating customer adoption through validated architectures and joint go-to-market execution.

You will work cross-functionally with Starburst Partner Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to ensure the Dell partnership is technically differentiated, field-ready, and scalable — from enablement and solution development to customer deployments and reference wins.

As a Partner Solution Architect – Dell Alliance, you will:

  • Serve as the primary technical owner of the Dell partnership, acting as the day-to-day technical liaison between Starburst and Dell solution architects, engineers, and alliance teams.

  • Enable Dell field and partner teams to successfully position, demonstrate, and deploy Starburst solutions on Dell infrastructure and platforms.

  • Design, build, and maintain joint Dell + Starburst solutions, including reference architectures, validated designs, demos, integrations, and deployment blueprints.

  • Collaborate with Dell and Starburst partner sales teams to support co-selling opportunities, providing technical strategy and architectural guidance for joint customer engagements.

  • Lead technical enablement sessions, hands-on workshops, and deep-dive trainings for Dell architects, engineers, and field sellers.

  • Drive and support proof-of-concept (POC) and pilot engagements with Dell to validate joint solutions and accelerate enterprise adoption.

  • Act as the technical voice of Dell within Starburst, advocating for integration enhancements, deployment optimizations, and roadmap alignment.

  • Work closely with Starburst Engineering, Product Management, and Support teams to resolve Dell-specific technical challenges and influence joint solution roadmaps.

  • Develop and publish technical content such as solution guides, best practices, reference architectures, and deployment patterns tailored to Dell customers.

  • Represent Starburst as a technical thought leader at Dell events, joint field engagements, conferences, and alliance initiatives.

Some of the things we look for:

  • Proven experience in a Solution Architect, Partner Engineer, or Technical Alliances role, ideally supporting a major OEM or infrastructure partner (Dell preferred).

  • Strong technical expertise in big data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and modern analytics architectures.

  • Experience designing and deploying solutions on enterprise infrastructure and hybrid environments, with familiarity in Dell Technologies offerings (storage, compute, object storage, hybrid cloud, or APEX) highly desirable.

  • Hands-on proficiency with SQL and experience with data integration, migration, and performance optimization at scale.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders across alliance and field teams.

  • Demonstrated success driving joint solutions to market and supporting co-sell motions with strategic partners.

  • Willingness and ability to travel for Dell and customer engagements as needed.

As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
